Not his opponent there, but had something damn similar last night for my own build. Although I never thought to do the Master of Disguise + Swordsmith combo, I had them in the build too.

Didn't have everything work that well together at any point though. (Nor any Ysera - but double Molten and the other parts however)

Mage arena run, 3 frost bolts and one flame strike. No polymorphs, no arcane missiles, no fireballs. Jimmies severely rustled. Went 0-3, so mad after going 7-3 on a shaman.

It's okay I actually retired for the first time tonight. Druid with ZERO druids of the claw, swipes, claws, hell ANY class card but I had 7 innervates pop in my draft. Went 0-2 and said F it.

So, I just started playing this last week after finding out it was open beta. A little background, I am pretty good at mtg. Trying not to sound arrogant, but I'm one of the best players at my LGS but haven't had much opportunity to go to the next level and hit up GPs or PTQs. I'm constantly winning 30-40 person FNMs, and top 8ing all of our bigger 70-80 person events (prereleases, GPTs, etc..). Not trying to brag, just giving an idea of my background.

I'm wondering what the closest equivalent to starcity is for hearthstone in terms of strategy and pro level talk. I am still leveling up all my classes, but put together most of the aggro hunter build to start doing ranked and already went up 3 ranks just today. I don't have any real cards yet, so I'm using budget lists I've found and tweaking them.
Also, I'm horrible at arena so far. It's really frustrating cause I think I'm a better limited magic player then constructed, but it seems I haven't translated the differences in the games yet for my card evaluations. I tend to prefer 'tricky' aggro-control decks in mtg, and there's no such thing in hearthstone with the lack of instant speed effects. So, I've found myself going more control oriented, but I'm missing something in getting it to work. My best run so far was only 4 wins

Granted, I've only done arena 3 times, but still.. I want to do better.

Just played someone with SEVEN Swipes that showed during our arena match - friend him to express the astonishment, he mentions that he still had another swipe in the bottom 11 cards... EIGHT SWIPES in one Arena...

There's just some levels of variance that shouldn't occur, 8 of a card really shouldn't...

lulz, 7 innervates? Yeah, I'd probably retire that too.

He edits that in later, but there is a guy over on liquidhearth working on that as part of his project for an app that auto-tracks win % for you. Since it all uses on screen visual recognition. It is tricky with the cards though, especially when they glitch.

Had some fun with accordion tonight. Behold, armor, made to fit!

Yep. And Commanding Shout/PW:S. It only counts if they actually take damage, and since Whirlwind+double Pyro is 3 damage, we needed to buff up the Pyros a bit. In hindsight we could go higher, but it'd be a lot of finicky work to set up the board.

Discovered an OTK combo that still works, but it is pretty card intensive. Charge! (3) on a Frothing (6), Pyro (8), Commanding Shout (10), Inner Rage (10), Inner Rage (10). Six cards. Though I guess Warsong+Giant+Brew+Brew was still four.

It requires some minions on the enemy's side of the board (or yours). Frothing starts at 2, Charge! makes it a 4. Pyro activates, making it +1 per minion. Command Shout prevents death and again adds +1 per minion. Inner Rage x2 adds 4 and each instance adds +1 per minion. I should say living minions, that is four damage to the board, it'll kill a ton of stuff. So that makes Frothing a minimum of 2 (base)+2 (Charge!)+2 (Inner Rage)+2 (Inner Rage) for a total of 10. Meaning we need 20 instances of damage on a minion for it to be a true OTK. We cast four spells, but (and this is the rub) a minion has to actually be damaged. So Pyro will only count once and Frothing will only count three times for damage purposes. That is 4. We need 16 more. So there needs to be 16 health worth of minions on the board, bearing in mind that each of our minions stops counting if they reach 1. Though if we had a minion whose health was actually 1, we could jigger the order of casts to kill them before we made our minions immune.

If we had Alexstraze-d the previous turn or had put any damage on them, this obviously gets easier. Alexstraza means we only need one extra minion on the board.

I don't think it is a very practical deck (the combo costs to many cards, though enough damage to the face reduces the need for each card) but it'd be interesting to experiment with it.
