big block of text.
Good point. Fixed. Thanks.

I'd also add sorta to what Angelwatch said. There are games that you lost on turn 1 but your health bar didn't reach zero until, say, turn 8. But make no mistake, you lost on turn 1. In fact, as a general rule, you won or lost whatever game you're playing several turns before either of you hit zero life. Some games get dragged out and it really is neck and neck and you're both at 3 life until one of you draws the perfect card (top-decking) and wins outright, but usually a game is won or lost turns before it is won or lost.

If I play a 3/2 creature on turn 2, and you play nothing at all on turn 2, that can often be the entire game right there in and of itself. Sure it'll take 9 or 10 more turns to kill you, but I won on turn 2. That is how slim the margins get. And they get even slimmer later. But honestly, the game is still a ton of fun just so long as you see what's actually happening and not thinking life was unfair to you. When you build your own deck you make your own luck, more or less.

Druid in arena plays Gurubashi Berzerker, next turn wrath's it three times in a row then savage roar. Eat a bag of dicks.

Could wrath a person in the face to do the same damage, just wouldn't draw the cards.

Isn't wrath minion only?
Yeah it is. It was interesting that I never considered wrathing my own minions like that. I wonder how many of the wraths and roar he drew versus having them in hand. If he drew the next two wraths and then the roar that's pretty redic.

The frustrating thing about the game now is because the card pool is still somewhat small, there is not a ton of variation in ranked play. It's not just that everyone plays aggro, it's everyone plays the same deck with very little variations. It gets boring as hell when you run into hunters that are running the exact same shit. So because everyone is playing the exact way, you have to play a certain way (with certain cards) almost all the time if you want any success in ranked.

Yeah, Hearthstone feels like the kiddie pool, and when I play MTGO it's like I'm in the deep ocean surrounded by sharks. Something in between would be really nice.

I'm now firmly in the 'hunters are a fucking cancer that ruins the gaming experience' camp. Fucking stupid, ridiculously overpowered, not even vaguely fun to play against whether you win or lose.

Hunster at 24 health, my priest at 1 health on turm 9. He's got a pair of strong creatures out I have an Injured blademaster.

I top deck a Mind blast. Heal the Blademaster to 5 health with power, double to 10 with divine spirit, double again to 20 with divine spirit, make him a 20/20 with inner fire. Hit for 20, deal 5 with Mind Blast. Winnah!

GLORIOUS!!

I know it's not the best, but I have more fun with my priest deck than anything else.

That's strange. I seem to remember you RAGING your ass off a few weeks ago (when all the cards were the same as they are now) when I was complaining about Hunters. You're a fucking asshole.

And an idiot.

You can tell it's a broken concept because that deck loses probably half its power without UTH. I just played Warrior control against it. Got double armorsmith out at one point, probably generated in the neighborhood of 12 armor. He still killed me.

12 wins with a Shaman. 495 gold as a reward is probably the highest I've had. Definitely prefer the gold over dust/shit cards I already had.
