Agreed. I think it's because of the hero power. Nobody cares about drawing extra cards, it's just not a fun ability.
What? Sarcasm? I was being serious. The Warlock ability only allows you to draw extra cards, see more of your deck, play a wider variety of cards and draw into what you need. Other classes get to do more fun things, like, summon the same 1/1 every single turn or equip a 1/2 dagger every other turn. Those abilities are far more interesting than drawing so called "cards" and getting to play more of these "cards".
It doesn't take very long, but yeah, I guess you could call it a grind. It's just enough to learn each class and see which one you enjoy the most. There are guides on the internet to make it really quick and easy (e.g. there are certain basic cards that are very good that are auto include in every class) add those and you'll get level 10 on each Class and unlock all the cards in no time). Basically anything with an efficient cost. Chillwind Yeti, Ogre, Shattered Sun Cleric, etc.
Aggro decks tend to be cheaper.
Much better return than I got from my 2800, i only pulled Captain Greenskin and a dupe Black Knight. I did score maybe 6-7 good Epics though at least. Oddly enough almost all of them were weapons (Sword of Justice, Doomhammer, Gorehowl etc).
