Does it trigger the deathrattle and remove it from the deathrattle card?

Sylvanas + feign would be tasty

It triggers deathrattle and you keep the deathrattle on the card... so if you have Sylvanus on the board and you play Feign Death, you steal an enemy creature, and then you can run your Sylvanus into one of your opponents minions and steal another one the same turn.

Just imagine dropping two Zombie Chows, a Soul Priest and then whipping out the Feign Death you thought stole. 10 damage to the face and then COH the board for another 10 damage to the face.

if you have rivendare on the board and you play feign death, would they trigger twice?

Soulpriest, chow, chow, 2x feign death and circle is an OHKO for ten mana lol.

So it's a 2 mana MC, 4/5, or two 2/2s on turn 8 and on turn 3/4/5 it's some combination of a drawn card, a beast draw, two 1/1 spiders, 2/1 golem, 4/4 nerubian, 2 damage to face, or a played secret.

Yup, card sucks.

If you happen to draw a perfect string of deathrattles into feign death. The only card that Hunter runs that can ever be a dead card based on board state is hunter's mark, and it's so obnoxiously powerful it more than makes up for the times it's a dead draw.

Hunter doesn't play Cairne, Sylvanas, Harvest Golem, or Nerubian Egg. Reincarnate basically does the same thing, but also has the added utility of healing a damage creature, unsilencing a creature, or even silencing off something like a defender of argus buff, and nobody runs Reincarnate.

What the hell are you guys talking about? What the fuck are current hunter lists going to cut to make room for that spell?

Speaking in absolutes in anticipation of a new block of cards being released has always been and continues to be a wise course of action.

Here's a more absolute reason why Feign Death is bad: It's a card that's only good when you're already doing well. I looked at my midrange huntertaker list and the only thing that came to mind to cut would be unleash. Unleash is not only capable of bailing you out when you're behind on board, it's also a beast to activate kill command. Most huntertaker lists don't run very many beasts, so every one of them is precious.

In short, Feign Death is bad and people who want to put it in decks are wrong.

I'm not really even talking about FD. I'm talking about a long chain of posting absolutes since we've been seeing new cards. I can see that Hearthstone is really starting to mature as a game with all these classic MtG attitudes starting to really make their mark in the community.

The meta is going to get turned upside down. That doesn't change the fact that the only thing keeping hunter viable right now is one specific wildly overpowered card. Until that card gets nerfed, the only cards that will go into a hunter deck will be cards that support the undertaker gameplan.
