My shitty priest health/attack boost/swap deck is doing well. Control thier shit, boost to 10+ HP, swap and attack. Windfury is all bonus.

Just arena'd vs a paladin who played 2 seal of lights (that gvg card that heals you +4 and gives +2 dmg for 1 turn), 3 truesilvers, Tirion fordring, and Sneeds...

Talk about painful

*edit*

To elaborate, it not only tracks what you have and haven't drawn, it tracks your opponents hand as well. Tells you what turn they drew the card, whether they kept it or mulliganed it, tells you if it's a spare part, dream card, mech drawn from gazlowe, it even reminds you if they have the coin.

Holy fuck, just got to a fatigue battle and the dude dropped Jeeves....if you don't have cards to draw and an empty hand, that cocksucker will still make you draw 3 times....every time. I had the dude down to three health and still had 18 myself on a druid with no taunts in my way, still couldn't make it happen with Jeeves out. If you are running a mill deck maybe stick Jeeves in for that last push.

So both your boards were empty? otherwise why couldn't you just kill the Jeeves. You don't draw until the end of your turn.

We both had nearly empty hands and he had 4 more cards in his deck, I had a couple half dead taunts up, he drops Jeeves and a fire elemental. I think the last card I had was naturalize that I dropped on the elemental to get him closer to fatigue and neutralize the elemental, not realizing that Jeeves would still make me draw even if had no cards to actually draw. It was a pretty sinking feeling, lol.

Trying the deck tracker now. The overlay is neat but i can't seem to get it to track my stats. I've played 2 games but neither show up in the stats tab. Can it load my decks itself or do I have to manually make them and save them in the app itself?

Someone earlier, maybe a week or two ago, posted a Toshley/Gazlowe mech Druid deck that I have been playing with. I must say, I love this deck.

I'm running a ramp druid with tons of fatties - 2 dark whispers, 2 ancients of war, 2 belchers and Troggzor. It's a great anti-aggro deck, it can get a little dicey if you aren't able to ramp in the first two or three turns but once you stabilize with a belcher and an ancient it's good times, especially if you can park Trogg behind a taunt or three. I think I had an eight game win-streak before the Jeeves Incident.

You're welcome - I haven't been able to break rank 8-9 with it last season (and with the cold kicking my ass, I've barely touched Hearthstone this season yet) - so I'm sure it's got a TON of room to improve, but it's certainly fun regardless of effectiveness.

I'm just getting back into HS and wow the rng is testing me. Oh, you Unstable Portal and got Grommash? Then ping, attack me for an extra 10 I couldn't realistically plan for? Ok. So glad you can only emote or I'd be catching bans.

One thing I've noticed about ladder since GvG release: it is harder to rank up. All the pro streamers, Amaz, Savjz, Xixo, Forsen, Kolento, etc., are having a harder time getting to legend. The number of games they have to play to get there has increased a ton (Xixo didn't sleep till he hit legend and it took him more than 24 hours, whereas 12-13 hours to legend isn't unheard of). From watching their games it seems like a lot of the win/loss is RNG. Watching Xixo play Zoo with Imp-Losion for instance, he won almost every game where it killed a minion and lost almost every game he didn't. He rarely went for the 4 damage if there was another option, but every game he got it he won. Ditto the 3. But in games where he needed it to hit for 3 or 4 and it didn't, he usually lost. I've been noticing the same trend for Shredders. That dev who said more randomness would increase the skill cap was pretty far off imo, it seems to have handicapped the most skilled players.

Getting bad beats doesn't mean the skill cap is lowered. Skill cap and variance are two different things. Also, due to no win streaks after 5 and each game needing a winner and a loser, there should be enough games played in an entire region of Hearthstone to still net the same number of legendary players over time as any other season pre-GvG. Also, the total number of legendary players should increase linearly with the total number of games being played for the same reason making this season and last have more legendaries total due to returning players increasing the volume of games played. I have also noticed streamers ranking up much slower but I think that is probably more that many of them are masters of the meta-game once it is established but that it's currently still being narrowed down. Total guess on the last part.

I didn't say it lowered the skill cap, I said it handicapped skilled players. Technically it is handicapping everyone, but the effect is more dramatic on skilled players because their variance is lower. Not quite the same thing. Also I was disagreeing with a dev who said it would RAISE the skill cap and that certainly hasn't happened.

Alright, I see your first point. But with more players hitting legendary and the large number of games required to get there across so many accounts, the ladder should be similarly stable as before GvG. The game is now more likely than before to break your win streaks due to bad luck but that doesn't matter post 5 since the bad beats should be evened out by the good beats. Other than taking longer to get to 5, statistics should keep the remainder the same. I don't think there's a good answer yet to whether or not the skill cap has been raised, lowered, or is the same. It's just too early to tell. The tournament scene is fucked, though.

You say that like its a bad thing, what kind of priest? I'd say both priest decks I posted last week are favored against handlock; the one I posted at least slightly, and brian kiblers probably even moreso.

I just started playing this last week - never played a TCG before - and am really enjoying it. I've been playing a basic mage control deck mostly and been bouncing between ranks 18-20. I tried 2 arenas (1 pally, 1 mage) and got 2 keys the first time and 3 the second. I did a little reading and research at Icy Veins hearthstone site. Is this a good resource? Are there any other good website guides out there? Any other tips for a beginner?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
