Deathrattle Priest is back in the Meta... I'm guessing it was streamed or something last night because 3 of my last 5 games have all been against the same version.

The Meta, in general, has just swung hard against aggro. I'm seeing MC Tech. Tons of AOE. Zombie Chow in every deck.

I actually won the game and wispy pulled his share of the work. I still run 2 for antonidas and mana warm synergy.

Today I also played 2 Fatigue Mages around rank 9. I, honestly, have no idea why. The deck is VERY difficult to play correctly where a single mistake can cost you the game. It's also a terrible ladder deck since it's incredibly slow.

Best play of the second game was when he played the Deathlord and a secret. Gee willikers! What secret could that be! I know! I'll test for counterspell by casting Polymorph on the Deathlord! Nope. Not counterspell. Well let's just clear the sheep off the board by pinging it. Duplicate! Wow! You completely caught me off guard there! (sarcasm is necessary for the preceding train of though).

Deathlord isn't a minion I'd particularly want duplicated anyway.
In Fatigue Mage it is one of the best things you can dupe actually, especially vs agro of any kind.

It makes sense to me to see it a lot of ranks. Not everyone is trying to get to legend. Some people just want to play new decks they heard about, test them out, learn to play them. Yeah, Fatigue Mage is very hard to play and you're always one mistake away from losing, but if people just wanted fast games to rank up there'd be nothing on ladder but Hunter and Zoo.

In Fatigue Mage, you use Deathlords to thin the opponents deck. You're mass freezing and killing their minions anyway so the Deathlord serves two purposes. One it takes a lot of damage to get through and second, it thins the opponent's deck bringing them to fatigue that much quicker. As Master said, it's the best card to get duplicated because you can, potentially, draw out 6 cards from Deathlords alone. All the while, the opponent's minions keep dying to remove Deathlords and those that survive get blown up by the Fatigue Mage.

Yeah, people who aren't trying for Legend are free to play whatever. But it's just such a difficult deck to play correctly. It's also pretty recognizable once you've seen it in action so you have a better idea of what you need to do to counter it.

I think you mean only vs aggro.
No, it is also good to do vs Druid of all kinds (getting an Ancient of War off of it hurts them so much). It is good vs everything late game, so long as you have answers in hand. I run double Poly double BGH in my version because I cut Coldlights completely. At that point I don't care what pops up from Deathlord. I'll often take the risk of duping one early game vs Warrior just to guarantee having two of them in hand late game.

Started using my wife's machine as with Spectate mode to stream a little - and started to notice that Spectate mode is buggy as shit or something, not all matches, but a good number of them I'm seeing cards come down on her screen as completely random stuff a reasonable amount of the time. Anyone noticed anything with that? I'm thinking it's just a display error, mana costs even when mismatched are still correct but it's really weird seeing random art/stats on a few critters on her Spectate.

Never had any problems.

Weird - maybe I'll reinstall it for her machine. Maybe there's a screwy file somewhere.

Or maybe something's just screwy in general - just had an opponent play an Al'Akir and the wrong soundfiles were playing for him - he was making one of the Pirate card sounds - on my own machine. (and normal play, no spectate mode)

I've had the occasional issue with spectate mode. Games not playing out, cards disappearing (especially in mulligans). Opponent name/rank not being visible. Stopping watching and reloading has always fixed it, if it didn't fix itself.

Ah ok, Spectate is just buggy I guess then - she's been using her machine so not tested it since earlier. Still confused by the wrong sound FX on Al'Akir earlier though, first time I'd ever seen that, literally match after posting. (Not seen any other occurrences that I've noticed though)

Good god... this draft... Saw 7 Consecrates. Wish a few of them would have been extra Truesilvers or Argent Protectors. Still, hot damn.
