Alternately, you do a large edge piece on the front of the counter, to fit the two 12" tiles in behind it

That doesn't look too bad. I'd still much rather have a solid surface I currently have a tile stone countertop in my kitchen, and I hate it, but I'm also not quite ready to remodel the entire kitchen yet.

I ended up getting granite for about 40 per sq ft at local granite shop, would have been double at hd or lowes. Hd or lowes ends up hiring a shop like that to do it anyway.

Bees are in my eaves. Two treatments of toxic spray in, notably decreased activity today. I believe that tomorrow at dusk I'll be able to spray directly into the small hole with more poison, and then spray in a whole can of expanding foam insulation. I think I've got them beat.

Also, I may be dead tomorrow at dusk.
Bees or hornets? dont kill bees.

Very cool on the granite countertops. yeah, thats on my to do list as well. although, flooring, and/or new roof, and/or deck off the back first.
Will probably go with black granite.

I deleted my post on accident, weird.

So sliding glass door is busted, still got parts of a tree littering my yard, and last night I washed the dishes and noticed that the floor was flooding (after 30 minutes of washing). Inside the cabinet under the sink I noticed the pipe completely came out of the elbow and was just emptying into my cabinet, so water soaked through the wood in there and then underneath and onto my floor. Thankfully I noticed it before starting the dishwasher or things would've got really bad really fast (it was on the pipe the dishwasher returns to). I was able to jimmy rig it last night, and it's a minor $5 fix, but fuck things are just pissing me off lately.

See, you brought a new host into the world and that ghost from the wedding has found a receptacle. They warned you.

Wait till you price out new ones that have had a sudden 100% increase due to some government regulation. I think the bottom of the barrel quality ones now start at $1,000 to $1,2000 and go up from there.

You talking about the instant hot water heaters?

They're pretty good but the joke around the trades is that if you have daughters, don't do it. haha

I must live in a nice area water bill-wise. I've heard other cities have it bad, but my water bill is $50 every 6 months. I don't even go above the minimum charge, my bill should be less but $50 is the minimum.

Also fixed my pipe under the sink, turned it on, now it's leaking from the drain. I think the seal around the drain got destroyed, it looks like it's gone in a few places. So now I need to figure out how to fix it.
