Yeah, need to make sure I get one where the feet can be completely removed beforehand.

You could always pop the counter-top off, but you run the risk of damaging the counter, walls, back-splash, and could get complicated if it is near your sink/plumbing underneath.

Sawzall is your best bet. Most of those feet can just screw all the way out till the fall off. If you are able to do that, you might consider a piece of trimboard to act as a ramp to sit flush with the floor to act as your new legs.

Most dishwashers have the top bracket to secure to the underside of the counter also.

Hope it works out for you.

You will have no problem getting the new one in there, I am sure. Get the old one out by any means. If you can, a pry bar under each front foot will get you started.

Oh, and if you do get the legs saw'd off, make sure you have a towel/blanket down on the front edge of the tile before you pull the old one out. Otherwise the saw'd off legs could leave nasty scratch marks.

Joeboo turned the sawzall on himself.

Did some counter flashing at a rental today. First time doing this, pretty pleased but it's very time consuming

Repainted and installed new flooring for the entire house when I first moved in but never got around to do the entry/mud room.

Talk about a cost effective way to change the look of a place.

A lot of times it's because you (or someone) bumped the line that connects the dishwasher to the disposal or possibly even the disposal right into the house drain. Both of these connections are small ruberized lines that can easily get bumped off of the connecting area if the hose clamp isn't sitting correctly. Just take a look at both lines and see if they're attached properly. They're the only two lines attached to your disposal.

They're rubber and not hard plastic because the disposal "jumps" when you turn it on, and a hard line is more likely to crack than a flexible rubber line.

So I got quoted 3600 to seal a few things in the attic, refit some insulation and redo 130 ft of flex duct and rebuild supply plenum to modern code. Seems... Excessive?

This is a bit weird, but anyone got any ideas for a gate at the bottom of my stairs? I'll have to get a picture later, but basically one side is the wall and the other is our banister. The railing is pretty thick in comparison to the rods (if that's what you call them). They're very skinny and round at the top, and square at the bottom (skinny again). We bought two gates, one for the top and one for the bottom. I installed the one at the top (and part of our molding started ripping out, great). At the bottom we got a 'conversion kit' so that it could easily install on a railing... except our railing is too odd-shaped.

What's my best bet here? The conversion kit came with a piece of wood that you secure to the banister. Do I just jury rig it with zipties and hope for the best?

FYI, this is one of those child proof gates that has a 'one hand' opening device for easy access. It needs to secure to two walls (or one piece of wood).
