PitchersShould a bathroom fan exhaust pipe have a cap on it? Went up on the roof yesterday to try to figure out how a family of mice(trapped 5 so far) made it into my attic. The fan exhaust was uncapped and that was the only point of entry that I could see.
The exhaust pipe itself smelled musty and was covered in green oxidation. At least I think that was oxidation, but I only thought copper oxidized that color and this definitely wasn't copper. Tin or aluminum. But anyway, I'm guessing there should be a cap on it because the pipe stands straight up and rain water getting in there seems like a really bad idea.
Just keep a fan blowing...easier to do if you have a covered deck and can mount a ceiling fan to the underside of the roof/canopy, but an oscillating fan works just as well. Mosquitos HATE moving air, they won't touch you all night long if you're sitting under a ceiling fan.Looking at making more usage of my deck this year. what methods do you folks use to stop mosquitos? I don't have any standing water near my house.
I'm looking for maximum mosquito destruction for exp grinding reasons, so I'm thinking an army of bats or some kind of propane trap system.

Yes for flowers, no for veggies.Raised wooden flower beds. Would I use pressure treated wood?
