yeah its not as maintenance free as they claim and finding a good installer is tricky. post and pier decks just suck imo.

It will have a BBQ spot and a hot tub eventually. It's about half the size of my house. It's not exactly 30x50 though.

There is a large 20x20 chunk out of it in a corner.

Everybody I know who put in a hot tub stopped using it after the second year. You can find em free on craigslist all day here. I put in a big Furo in the master bath I use that fucker constantly.

I highly recommend a Furo, they have kits that will fit in the same foot print as a standard tub, just have to move the faucet tree up. Some have a Jaccuzi package per-installed. you do need a big breaker / GFI for it tho.

Bbq spot, hot tub. times must be good in the power abusing business.

If i got a hot tub I'd get a little 3 seater. we had one at wife's place and used it for about 3 months, never more than us 2

Yeah in no way would I get a huge one.

Money isn't THAT good but if I am going to build a deck I am going to build it once and not tack on more later so I am planing for all the things that I might put on it later.

dunno what the rules are at your house, but in mine anything inside the woman cleans, anything outside I handle, I factor that heavily into home improvements.

Slow goings. i put my laser down and the left side seems to be about 1/4 out of line somehow. gonna go a little lighter on the hammer over there for a bit.

probably going to order the 3 36" cabinets I need for the bar area from home depot. RTA seem to save about 600 bucks (900 total after all the fixings), so gonna roll the dice and go that route.

Very proud of my transition. prob about a 16th lip up to hardwood. Never done a ground up flooring/framing job i hope I'm not fucking myself up with the door.

Pics of finished kitchen. All my crap is back on the countertops now. Since I don't have cabinets surrounding my fridge, I want to put something on the side that is exposed. Maybe a chalk board/white board of some sort. That gray metal juts looks bleh.
