I dont mind paying for a good tool thats well designed to work with no gas or electric. But even with the veterans discount, 250 is still a hard sell.

don't know about the smaller red one, but the orange 3.5cf one is pretty solid, it used to be in the $200-225 range :(

can also use them as a tumbler

I will likely buy one of these next spring for a lil DIY concrete slab.

I've got a cement mixer that doesn't take any electricity and it's probably older than me...

how would i make clean caulking lines on moulding/brick?
this is my houses lines, while it's weatherproofed, it looks nasty

idk if it's paint or caulk or both? i figure i can at least redo the door moulding first, since the 2nd floor windows are gonna be a pain and i have bushes covering my 1st floor windows

(should bushes be covering my 1st floor windows? there were like this when i got the house and i just trimmed it, but theyre really tall)

My not-helpful comment is I can promise you you’re the only person that would ever notice that caulk.

Slightly more helpful - my understanding is it’s as simple as removing the existing caulk (with a razor knife) and applying fresh caulk. Make sure to grab the caulk that’s paintable. What you’re seeing there is someone applied the caulk and didn’t bother removing the excess because time is money and who would notice?

Pretty easy (but time intensive) cleanup with a razer, putty knife, sandpaper and a wire brush. When you put in new caulk, dont buy the cheap shit. The color, or the clearish shit, is totally up to you. When you're ready to set the final position of the moulding, you can start the caulk then so the bead that you see from the outside is barely visible. If you're doing all of your windows and doors, I feel bad for you. That shit takes fucking forever without some help.

The home inspector recommended I put fresh caulk around my windows a few years ago before I bought this house. I didn’t think much of it, but I guess I need to put that on my honeydo list. I’d much rather deal with removing and applying fresh caulk than replacing rotten lumber.

getting good caulk off brick cleanly is a pain, getting it out of the crack is a bigger pain. would get 2-3" wide tape and finger it into the crack then smooth. the good pro jobs i have seen only have like 1/4ish of caulk showing. be sure to press the tape into the mortar indents

does a power washer remove caulk and paint well?, also the backyard door moulding is flaking off like dandruff, can i just powerwash that all off?

this old man did double layers of painters tape and imo, it still doesn't look "that" great, am i being picky?

If your paint is cracking and flaking the power washer will take it off pretty well. Haven't tried it on caulk but I bet it wouldn't work well. If you get it close enough to take off the caulk you're probably going to be tearing up your wood as well.

Power washer won't take the caulk off. Like others have said, remove it with a razor blade. When you put new caulk on have a cup of water with you. Run the caulk, dip your finger in water, smooth the caulk out with that finger. It should look great.

If your pressure washer can't take caulking off, then your pressure washer just isn't powerful enough!

There’s this weird closet ladder that I’m assuming is original. The angle isn’t convenient to actually climb into the attic/roof space and don’t have any proper storage space up there to keep anything at this point.

So, with the soon to kick-off renovations I could have this closed off, but feel like there’s an opportunity to do something fun and/or at least semi functional with the space. Standard door height, 18” x 4”

I'm getting a fence installed, as I got a new dog. I want an area where I can add a doggy door to the back and he can roam without concern. He does great so far, staying on our land, but I wouldn't leave him outside unattended for some time yet. Just throwing out some costs for people to make fun or me or use for your own haggling. It would be drastically cheaper without the 3 gates I want, but I'm a lazy bastard and want a gate on every side.

Horse panel fence, 4' tall, something like this, but with 4"x4" thicker gauge wire.

newish ge dishwasher, all lights blink like crazy, turns out it's common for door latch to fail so dishwasher thinks door isn't closed, $25 part.
if that wasn't gonna fix it, then i'd have to replace the main controlboard 125$ part, also common failure.
