My DirecTV DVR has gone full retard on this show for some reason. Every week I try to set up a season recording based on the 7PM Sunday night showing but then the following week I find it scheduled to record on Friday night, which is like the 35th showing of the episode on the various showtime channels. I have deleted the season recording and set it up again twice now and it keeps happening even though it hasn't happened to any other series. It's not conflict with other recordings, if I manually tell it to record the 7 PM episode it does it with no problem.

Probably not interesting to anyone but me but I thought it was odd.

BTW, is anyone else watching "The Chi"? I find I'm looking forward to that show more than Homeland on Sunday night.

I'm not watching it. But I am really enjoying this season of Homeland. That Alex Jones guy is so fucking hateable. More so than last season even.

This week's episode was full of spy shit.
But it all boils down to Carrie looking incredible while riding even more treasonous dick. First Brody, now Dante. I guess it's just a re-creation of the first few seasons, but with a (mostly) new cast.

It's pretty much play for play of exactly what went down with Brody. Except instead of trying to kill the President, they're going for the espionage route.
Oh well, I still like the show for what it is.

Still puzzled by all the awful personal decisions Carrie makes, or at least the way she goes about them.

Remind your sister you're a badass world-level spy, tell her to watch your kid and fucking leave for awhile.

I mean realistically if that sister really gave a shit, she'd have a file cabinet of easy softballs to lob against Carrie and tell CRAZY AUNTIE CARRIE to stay the fuck away.

Or actually have that pussy husband do it, god all he does is just stand around the kitchen while Carrie belittles him, in his own home.

I took Carrie's conversation with Saul at the end of the episode to mean that she thinks her sister is right. She's coming to terms with the fact that she's not a fit mother and the kid would be better off with the sister and her husband and she's going to let it happen because she can't stop being a spy. It's basically impossible to be a CIA agent and have any kind of a normal family life. That's why unlike most employers, the CIA actually encourages their agents to marry one another because there is zero chance for a successful long-term relationship with a civilian, let alone raising kids.
