Kinda neat. Scalding Spear is an old mirror solar collector. Direction is sorta kinda in the direction of Tonopah NV, where there is a single mirror/tower molten salt power generator. The electrical company I work for built it right before I started. Only reason I know about it is they brought up in PM meetings that the lawsuit to get paid was almost finished.

Pretty sure its been noted that it was because of the "Peach Fuzz" a long time ago. Which just brought the discussion even further into the realm of "....why?"

The game made it into production with Aloy looking like she did. It doesn't matter why, nobody won.

If you look at the before and after pics on the mod's page, it's clear that removing the shitty fake lighting is a visual improvement, but it does almost nothing to make Aloy look like she did in HZD. Which is probably why the reddit post you're claiming somehow vindicates you was downvoted to oblivion.

Not that it matters anyway. You could mod HFW to make Aloy look exactly like Hannah Hoekstra and HFW would still be yet another garbage sequel to a great game, which is what you get from all Sony first party studios now.
