Horizon 2: Forbidden West

Staying away from streams - four day weekend starting tonight - dual shocks charged and ready to alternate
I am officially 12 years old in T-Minus 15 hours.
Watched some of the start, then turned off. Positive surprise, you can turn off motion blur on the PS5 edition.

watching a few mins on stream since i don't plan on playing for a few months and man there are a lot of ugly women in this game lol
the guys are ugly too
i do notice the huge difference between this and elden ring, its just a lot of NPCs talking talking talking here i assume Elden Ring is more dark souls-ish where NPCs barely ever talk

Played for 3 hours. Went with performance mode. It's smooth, and while moving I don't notice that much of a difference (in the areas I've done so far, just completed prologue). The 30 fps mode felt "stuttery"?
Graphics are really good. Movement is much better than the first when climbing, more fluid and fast. You get a grappling hook in the first 10 minutes and you press O to leap up as you go, boosting you like in the Batman game.
Skill trees seem more developed, didn't see any loot skill trees other than one node for harvesting. Which is good, since I spent the first 10+ levels unlocking those in the first game instead of combat skills.
Solid experience so far.

Ok it’s almost here thank God. Bad news is once it launches I upgrade to the PS5 version and have to wait for the download again. Also, I drank more wine than I thought. And also had news. I’m watching love is blind on Netflix. The Japanese version and this is fucking hilarious! At least if I have to wait another hour I have entertainment!

Ok thank God I have good internet. Downloading ps5 version because they wouldn’t let me preload it until launch because reasons as I screwed then out of 10 dollars as I bought it from an app to get the free upgrade they already said would be fine back in 2001. 25% complete.

Thanks for the heads up. I downloaded the ps4 version earlier today assuming the upgrade would be a smaller download. That definitely wasn’t the case. I’m looking forward to it being ready for me in the morning!

Woke up early(I'll pay for that later I'm sure) and managed to squeeze in 2.5 hours before going to work.
Game looks gorgeous as expected. Nice story recap, and it does a pretty good job of throwing you in the new story.
I'm not that far, stopped just after I reached the credits.
So far it's Horizon plus a few upgrades with the grappling hook which I like already.
Can't wait to get back home and continue my adventures.

Enjoying the game so far. After the intro/tutorial bits I almost immediately went off the rails and started exploring the initial area and am having a great time.
Did end up at the intended destination after a bit and then spent the better part of an hour learning and then playing the tactical board game they created inside the game. (it's basically Into the Breach only using carved machine pieces).
Of course the usual 'so many skills! I don't know what I want!!' situation but that's to be expected.
