I enjoyed both seasons. There were some moments(Threesome) that I knew was just for shock value, but otherwise it is a good show. I really was hoping that at the very end, when he was standing above the desk and looking at the camera, that he would have uttered two words. "Check Mate"

Will be fun seeing him attempting to keep his position and perhaps even go for reelection, if they take the series that far.

Wait, when a VP become P, he appoints a VP who gets congressional approval. Season 3 will have to feature that based on past pacing, probably for half the season at least, as a theme, unless they "fast forward" a year or so into his presidency. I'd like to see Frank now deal with people like him and how he deals with being on the defensive where previously he was offensive.

For the threesome, I don't think it was just added for shock value. While it may not have been necessary, I think it hammers home several points. It hammers into our heads, or at least makes us think about, the type of relationship Frank and Claire really have. Is it because they're so close now that they can share these kind of moments, or is it because they're really not that close (even though the show would seem to say differently) that they're able to do something like that. It also shows how high they are on victory, thinking themselves invincible and able to do whatever they want now. I see this as a theme in the next season as well.

I was trying not to watch the new season but it reeled me in. Just finished and I am completely pleased with this season. Amazing shit. I love how they show Walker just get progressively more gaunt and fucked up throughout the season. And how that reporter bullshit was swiftly dealt with. The last scene was absolutely perfect for this show. Frank is fucking awesome.

The threesome definitely wasn't for shock value. At that point in the show, they were on the razor's edge, it could have gone either way for them at that point. It was a mixture of stress relief and a show of how formidable Claire and Frank's relationship is. I don't really think it was about victory, because they weren't there yet.

I am wondering who he will tap for VP also. Maybe Womack, that dude has been hardcore for Frank. I can't imagine him picking Sharp or Birch. Durant wants to stay where she is and Kerns is going to be Secretary of Treasury. I can't think of anyone else we have met yet in the show who would be acceptable. Maybe that one guy in the house with the education bill who fucking hates Frank now.

Ya pretty much this. But Frank's personality seems to dictate that the best defense is a good offense, so it will be interesting to see how that plays out with him as the leader of the free world.

I don't know why people got their panties so twisted about the threesome scene. It was what, like 20 secs of screen time? Get over it.

People get threatened by having to watch anything remotely resembling homosexuality. It's silly, whatever.

its not the homo sex that bothered me, its the duality of feeling a bit manipulated by the writers by having the characters doing unrealistic things (in the context of getting away with shit, not sexual desires). just like frank pushing zoe, the next scene literally him walking back the exact way she came in (BUT WITH A HAT), and then the next episode or two the cop showing video footage from the investigation and apparently not bothering to watch the recording 30 seconds past her death. Sure, maybe all the cops are in on the murder coverup but that starts getting a bit silly.

Likewise it seems kinda silly to have a scene a few episodes past where a crazy dude gets caught on camera long before getting near the VP house, but somehow the agent who is with them 12 hours a day having a threesome having no fallout. So his next shift replacement just assumes the Underwoods are all ok, no need to check in on them once an hour? He must have a pretty awesome boss and security procedures too if he can just hang around after work an hour or two with nobody asking wtf he is doing there. Or maybe nobody gives a shit about protecting the VP and his wife at night. I just wish it had been done a little smarter, to show Claire or Frank always scheming way ahead of time.

I guess we'll see some fallout in season 3, but again it seems like a risk that is absolutely insane to take. Then again we did have a prez who got BJs in the oval office so I'm probably just too naive.

He didn't walk back the same way, he walked on the opposite side of the tracks. I'm not really sure where you're going with the other thing. Why would Meechum sticking around be suspicious? Everyone there knows he is the Underwoods boy. And why would someone come check on them while they are in their bedroom with sounds of furious humping coming from the door?

I'm not sure that Doug is actually dead. I mean it's likely that he is. But they didn't really spell it all the way out. I think he just got brained.

Of course, now that I think about it, him laying there for 5+ hours in the cold... yeah, he's probably dead.

But I guess I could see them bringing him back in s3 so that Frank can fuck him.

Claire is still unaware that Frank killed Russo, right? She was clearly upset about his suicide, kept bringing up his kids, and left Adam because of the news. I think in the next season she is going to find out the truth about Russo's death and will turn against Frank at some point. There is already friction, as seen by her crying after dealing with the military rape victim, and she has snapped at Frank multiple times now when she feels slighted or manipulated. I think she's going to blow up when she finds out she was emotionally manipulated by the Russo 'suicide,' and that's going to be part of Frank's downfall. Or maybe we will get a couple more seasons of Frank keeping his power but gradually losing everyone close to him, Claire included.

She didn't left Adam because of the death of Russo. She left adam because the death of Russo will put in motion new stages for their plan. Also claire hates boredom, she snapped at Adam without frank even been in the picture. The same qualities that attract her to Adam , repel her from him.
