it didn't matter by Dany's time because Dragons had been all gone for over a hundred years. The Targs had three things going for them, (1) dragons (2) purple eyes (3) apparent immunity to fire. Only the first one mattered a lot as far as King-making.

but yeah I get the point in general ancestory is probably not that important and I assume there were a lot of family intermarriages, I just sorta wished the show dipped its toe into that a bit more since it would have been far more topical at a time when there are dozens of Targs vs the 2 (3, with Jon) during GoT. Did the Targs care about bloodlines and purity and "the seed is strong" or did they not give a single fuck? I have no idea and neither do any of the characters it feels like.

anyways more people watched episode 2 in the first night than episode 1, so show seems to be getting stronger

Thought ep 2 was pretty bad.

The show just doesnt seem like its even close to GoT s1 so far.

I want to agree with you, but I clearly slept through too much of episodes 1 & 2. So my opinion could not be entirely valid.

But seriously, GoT was filled with violent torture-porn (as well as just plain ol' porn too--actually probably TOO much plain ol' porn because it became distracting to the show at times. In plain ol' porn, that can't happen. Only plot can get in the way there...)

PS-- this article is all about the C-section/birth scene: ‘House of the Dragon’ fans furious over grisly scene: ‘I wanted to cry and vomit’

I'm not really sure what was so bad about that scene. Yeah, life and death are real. He made an attempt to save one. Good on him.

You will never see anything branded or referring to the Doctor Who series with the abbreviation of "Dr."
It was a nerdy joke-- but it is completely true. The "Whovians" would be outraged.

ive used Dr before and had to edit my post to correct it, though not a big deal, my OCD wouldnt let me leave it as Dr.

Liked the episode well enough, but it is a bit slow.

Would have preferred they started this series with some some dragons burning down cities, thousands of people and everything else. They better not make me wait until episode 10 for the carnage.

It took a lot longer in GoT. We didn't even see a dragon until the last minute of the last episode of S1 and then they were the size of house cats.
