If Matt Smith isn't heavily featured and doing badass shit every episode I'm out. Trailer does indicate they have given him a lot of badass scenes so there will be something to watch.

Everything Smith has been in recently he needs to play every single role it seems. Other actors just aren't up to the task. Makes him look really good and it's great for his career but at the same time the work he's in bombs or doesn't do numbers because of the rest of the cast.

he's also been fucked in two major roles. he played a larger part in Terminator Genesys and that last Star Wars movie. they edited him mostly out of both. the guy seems to have some bad luck in his career and he's come a long way since Doctor Who. he figures he has to chew that scenery for the time you do get.

Yeah that was a full feature length Star Wars movie he filmed. The entire film was cut up and thrown in the trash for hundreds of millions.
That Ep 9 bitch didn't break even. 1b ain't gonna carry it with a full "reshoot" that means filming a new movie. This is why Star Wars films remain on hiatus to this day.

I was pretty baffled by how many characters there were in these trailers but then I read it takes place over two timelines so I assume its really 1/2 the characters, like the young downsy looking girl must be the old woman too due to the hair.
Its hard to think of too many shows that have done multiple timelines well, Westworld has famously shit the bed over it, so we'll see how this goes. Zero expectations going in.

With how they butchered the ending of GoT, I can't imagine them wholesale changing the story for this? We'll see I guess.

because for some odd reason there isnt much from the trailer outside of the Targs. Targs are fucking boring. where are the Starks or the Greyjoys or Lannisters?

It's about a Targaryen civil war when they still had dragons - do you expect the other families will really matter that much? Since there's no magic Night King harpoons, the dragons will be basically invulnerable.
