2 revealed the mother was still alive and was some god damned heroine because she abandoned her husband and child so she could live with dragons. Stupid fucking movie.

2 is good, but its again a recall of “alpha dragon mind controls other dragons” as the first… just… different.

They do not shy away from crapping on the mom, the mom knows she was wrong, its not instant forgiveness (other than from stoic)

3 is better than 2 however and the shows and specials are good as well - all kept with a good spirit of family, adventure, friendship etc.

This version not only has huge shoes to fill but has so many ways its failing before it starts- other than casting of Hiccup and Stoic

And there is no need for a remake like this- do a re-render super 4k boogaloo or something

They are kids at the beginning, they grow up, there is loss there is actually character development, tragedy and love - they are also a real example of a good date, court, marry, kids, and family its really good and rare nowadays.
ftfy again

I didn't realize there was a third one and I don't remember much about two so I think you might be right. I do remember the first one being really entertaining or a goofy CGI movie. Look if you're a kid it's definitely something that'll probably blow you away, but then again when I was a kid I saw stuff like The Goonies, Fright Night, Teen Wolf and Porkies, so my opinion is probably quite skewed.

Ah yes the classic and similar kid's movies, The Goonies and Porky's.

I know they're not the same, but I watched things like The Secret of Nihm, all the live action Disney movies like 20,000 leagues under the Sea, the black hole, etc.

Along with that though things like The Last Starfighter, Critters, Ghostbusters. It was the 80s, and my parents didn't police my viewing, or at least they weren't very good at it. I remember watching RoboCop with my dad on HBO when it first aired on the service. Hell I think we watched Predator together. Always made certain to record them on VHS, and I always go back and watch them over and over.

I think I mostly turned out okay...😉

The side by side is just harsh.

Astrid was blond and blue eye and stood out in every scene… this one blends in so much you cant tell her from anyone else

And Lilo and stitch had the most unintended sexy drawn character next to that movie where the “both?..both!” Meme came from…
Pfft unintended…like they don’t spend all their time drawing that

Never having watched Lilo & Stitch, I googled the characters, and I have no fucking clue what you are talking about. What character is this? And for that matter, what "both?" character. I think I might have been born a little early to get these references.

House and House 2 were both mandatory viewing. Things like flight of the navigator, Critters.

Cartoon wise it was transformers, GI Joe, and obviously He-Man.

I just look at what kids now grow up with and it's not near as good as what we had the pleasure of watching when we were Young.

Yeah the second one was more of a kind of fantasy adventure movie, not so much a horror movie. I still remember it being pretty fun.

I was going to ask how you left off Halloween, and then realized that was actually 1979.

That being said....Fright Night.

I did have to look a few up...and fright night was mentioned previously, but I forgot to put it in..

Nightmare on elm st and hellraiser scared the crap out of me. Typically I don't do horror..mostly cuz of those two movies.
