So I kind of like a girl that I work with but I also like working with her/friendly stuff and i'm not sure if I should ask her out or not. I suck at relationships/telling if someone likes me so I don't really know what to do. Not really worried about whether she says yes or no (no's suck but aren't the end of the world) but I don't really want to make things weird at work/she stops talking to me etc. cause that would be shitty.

I was going to say don't dip your pen in the company ink. But since this seems to be a job you don't give a shit about losing:

Look at her lips when you talk. I don't know if it's true but I hear it makes chicks think of you romantically. So if you do this and she doesn't puke a little in her mouth, you might have a shot.

1. Should you ask her out? Yes, if you like her.
2. How can you tell if she likes you? You can't tell by watching her lips or her hair or the way she breaks wind. Ask her out. Say something like, "Hey you're pretty cool and I like chatting with you. Want to go out for coffee or grab dinner this weekend?" If she says "yes", than she likes you. If she says "maybe, but I'm a bit busy right now", then she is trying to decide if she likes you or she is busy. If she says "no thanks", then she does not like you romantically.
3. How can you possibly recover if you ask her out and she says no? Just fucking don't be a pussy. Move on. You asked and she said no. Move on. That's fine. It is no big deal unless you make a big deal out of it. If she says no, she didn't make some grand mistake or error. She's not into you. That's fine. Don't be a creep. Don't ask again. Just say something like "Yeah no problem. That's cool. All good". Then go back to washing dishes or making burgers or whatever the fuck it is you do.
