Not even an hour into it but it's...ok to good so far. The voice actor playing Indy is spot on with the voice. At first, I thought it was Ford himself or AI.

Liking the game so far - the "tutorial" intro section was a great choice. Game itself feels a lot like an actual Indiana Jones film so far.

The premium edition was free when I first clicked, logged on, went to buy...and now they're removed it from the site, it looks like?
Must have just missed getting it by seconds.

How similar is this game to Hogwarts Legacy?
From a gameplay perspective.

From a gameplay perspective:

1) Action - Not alike at all.
2) Puzzles - Somewhat similar but way more concise with Great Circle and more engaging.
3) Atmosphere - Edge to Hogwartz but with Great Circle you feel like you are playing a movie instead of a game. (Which is what I think the intent was) Although with Great Circle Troy Baker does such a fantastic job with Indy it's amazing it isn't Harrison Ford himself.
4) Combat - Hogwartz by FAR.

One peeve I have is some of the whip swing puzzles don’t make it clear where you can swing to. I spent like an hour in the flooded sewer room trying to figure out how to progress and I’m doing the trial of gold/silver in the secret order section in the Vatican and can see where I need to get to, but can’t figure out how to get up there lol

Quick question: is this game woke? Doesn't seem to be, but you never know with present day Microsoft/Sony first party.

Marion is in it to some degree as a background foil for Indy's personal life but nothing I'd consider remotely modern woke.

They address lore that was left out of the 3 movies which is pretty major. The game is like a 4th indy installment, like a movie we never got.

It's a must play for Indy fans.

Awesome! Looking forward to playing this one! Glad to see something managed to escape modern day Disney and feel more like the Lucas era.

I tried this last night for about 2-3 hours. It does a good job of capturing the Indiana Jones setting really well and the story seemed interesting enough.

That said, I found the gameplay extremely boring, I had to force myself to play those 2-3 hours. It's slow paced, and the actual mechanics are boring. Combat is not fun, I got tired of unlocking doors...select the key in inventory, look at the lock, press "X", push right on joystick. It was neat the first time, it bored the shit out of me after the 3rd door in less than 5 minutes.

I'll pass on this, this is why I like gamepass.

played about 5 hours so far and really enjoying it, does a great job capturing the indiana jones vibe

Microsoft really pulled a boner move releasing this Dec 9th, should have come out early Nov or maybe Spring 2025. Its getting kinda slept on by everyone but its really fun.

Apparently plays well on steam deck too, I'm playing on my xbox and no issues at all. Its really cool how the title screen puts you right at your save.

Finished the game. I didn't 100% it, but I did all the fieldwork side quests and most of the mysteries (I can't figure out the location of one of the mysteries in Thailand, it doesn't show on the map). Took me about 26 hours. If you get all 50 of the ancient prehistoric relics (the stone "dildo" things), it unlocks a secret ending.

Spoilers about the ending (base and secret)

When you go to Ur and are in the ancient temple beneath the Ziggaraut, there is an ancient vault where you need to insert the 50 relics to open a door. If you pay attention to the info Indy uncovers during the game, it seems like the Nephilim/Giants originated from Antarctica and had to escape using "Noah's Ark" and the wormhole/FTL powers of the stones in the distant past. This is implied without the secret ending, but the secret ending 100% confirms it. It shows a bonus cutscene of Noah's Ark in the middle of Antarctica after it goes through the wormhole

I greatly enjoyed the game - it had the feel of an Indiana Jones movie and it had some fun set pieces. There are 3 large mostly open world maps and there are smaller in scope areas you visit that are cool (one location surprised me). Some of the fieldwork side quests are basic, but some are really fleshed out mini-adventures with puzzles and traps you have to avoid and sometimes characters.

This game seems like a good vehicle to have DLC with additional adventures - it seems they have at least one confirmed at the moment
