It's funny how polarizing this movie is. Very few people seem to have moderate opinions on it. Nolan is very good at doing certain things and his movies are always very impressive visually, but often have flawed scripts and some other issues. All that said I recently rewatched this with someone that hadn't seen it when it was out in theaters originally. I still feel the same way about the movie that I did the first time I saw it. It's a pretty good movie with some issues, most of which have been brought up enough in this thread that I won't rehash them. Also Dark Knight has lost a bit of it's shine for me as well. I would rank it behind most of the Marvel movies now. Ledger was amazing, but the rest of the movie had a lot of issues.
I have a moderate opinion of the movie. I don't regret watching it, but it could have been a lot better and probably 30 minutes shorter.

I'm going to have to agree with Mist here, that's pretty much exactly how I felt. I didn't hate it, but I wanted it to be so much better than it was, and that might spill over into sounding like disappointment with the entire movie.

Same. I don't regret the 3 hours I spent in the theater. However, I probably won't ever watch it again.

Meh, I thought Hotel Rwanda was a fantastic movie but by god I will never watch it again in my life. I felt the same way about Munich. Obviously Interstellar isn't quite as dark as those movies, but a movie can be really good without you wanting to watch it again.

Same here, and I have about 19 negs from daring to criticize this hack.
No you farmed the negs with posts like this.

You're either a young kid, or you're legally retarded. Or both.
And this

No, it's just about being intelligent enough to know a shitty movie when you see it. The only positive remarks I've seen anyone make about this movie is "wow, fancy special effects!" and "ooh, my seat was shaking from the sound!" I'm glad you're so easily amused. Simple minded people usually are.
Or This

And after all that he ends the movie with "love is the greatest power in the universe!" That's an ending that only a cunt would enjoy.
Hey its cool not liking a movie, but you having consistently bitched in this thread for 4 months about how this was trash and anyone who liked it is retarded. Thanks we get it, you are a troll, move the fuck on. There are plenty of people in this thread who either a) Didnt liek the movie b) Liked it but were left wanting or c) Just thought it was meh. They stated their opinions over a post or two but didn't fucking go on and on and on. Seriously its old.

Edit. This so reminds me of Dumar in the WoW thread before The Black Hand banned his derp ass.

Out of curiosity how often do you guys re-watch a movie? Outside of a few exceptions I hardly ever re-watch a movie.

On Interstellar, you can put me in the "mildly amused" category. I didn't hate it and I was glad to see and actual Sci-Fi flick that wasn't just an action flick with a space-skin placed over the top of it, and it did make me do a little thinking. But compared to some of the movies it was hyped up to be (2001, Contact) it fell a little flat. It is funny that I always forget McConaughey was also in Contact...

i've watched stuff like Goodfellas, Godfather 1 & 2, Star Wars, Blade Runner, Indiana Jones 3, Conan, Terminator 2, Princess Bride, Frozen (kids), Robocop, and Predator at least 20-50 times each. I've probably watched Dark Knight 15 times. I even have a special folder on my media PC with rewatch movies all in 1080p bluray format.

I celebrate the addition of a new movie to the collection with a scotch and cigar night. Buy them all on bluray too but its nice having it in digital media format for instant on demand.

It's debatable. I myself do enjoy rewatching Godfather 1/2 and most of Scorsese, Spielberg, Ridley Scott stuff. Also most of Tarantino movies before Kill Bill, Indiana Jones trilogy and some other classics (Kubrick, etc) / cult (Fincher) stuff. Call me a oldfag but Drive / Only Gof Forgive / The Drop were the last movies I'd rewatch over and over. Also alot of sci-fi / polar stuff like Copland and LA Confidential. Bah, can't really write an exhaustive list. Lately I've rewatched a lot of tv shows (The Wire, The Sopranos, Generation Kill, Profit, etc). I think there are some films you can enjoy watching them 5-10 times, and some other movies you'd love watching once and couldn't be arsed watching one more time.

I rewatched this almost entirely for the soundtrack. Zimmer gets no goddamned respect.

I've watched Joe Dirt like a hundred times at least.
I watched MacGruber 3 times in theaters. I'm honestly like .003% of all the money they made. I've seen it 20+ times since then. In all fairness though 80% of the time it's a drunken suggestion at 1AM and everyone falls asleep half way through. Except me.

I think the movie I have seen the MOST sadly is Malibus most wanted

That shit has been in and out of heavy rotation on Comedy Central for 15 years and somehow i always find myself watching it in the back ground when I'm in an MMO grind. Any hour of the day if I leave Comedy Central on in the back ground for long periods I'm bound to see that movie. Sometimes twice in a day if im grinding hard.

I must have seen it 40 times and never liked it once
