I wasn't speaking specifically to longs as much as the impact it is having across the breadth of the markets. I honestly hope I am wrong as I like when stonks go up. I wish it had been a solid double beat and the cash flows hadnt been that ugly. They really burned cash last quarter.
Cash flows were fine, I think you are not understanding the dynamics. You are talking about a compare against pandemic craziness, amazon forecasted a lot of this spending the stock has been stuck for a reason. This report shows that things are better than expected not the other way around.

Eh, just start here with us plebs with more direct trade ideas. Curious myself what gave you the conviction to push all the chips at basically the bottom of the recent sell. Seemed like many external factors weighing on the markets at the time for me to ever make that call.

Did some math because I was curious. I'm like 60% S&P, 30% QQQ equivalent, with the last 10% smallcap, grandpa etfs and a sprinkle of a few random stocks.

1 year ago today: ARK was 146.11 and S&P was 3830.17
Today: ARK is 69.04 and S&P is 4547.54

In the last year, the S&P has outperformed ARK by 251.5% ARK had an orgasmic one year run, but unless you were there for that you missed out. By the time everyone realizes what a crazy run something had, it's usually too late to jump on. That's why I just stay the course.

Out performance is hard, and gets harder and harder the longer the time frame. We had a day trader here in this thread not too long ago that could "easily" do 40-55% a year but talents like his are rare.

2020 and then into early 2021 I was like at +155% or something insane. Ended 2021 -15ish % (minus, as in negative)

As I said , I tax harvested so at least I did not have to pay taxes on the 2021 insane gains and now , feeling defeated, I am repositioned into far more FANGish stuff and looking forward to unwinding myself further until I can reach the promise land of 90 percent of my liquidity in indexes/fang(ish) and stop the struggle.

BUT in my defense I entered the active trading world during the covid crash. And thought making 35k in a few hours of a good AMC swing trade was "the way" lol

Oh, and I am one of the ones in Amazon and thank the lord it did not go the way of FB. Though I do think FB is way oversold.

My number one issue is that I don't want to get locked in to trading every day. I love doing this for a living because I have so much control of my schedule, don't want to be come a slave to it. I should probably at least start doing a twitter account and just build the following for if I ever chose to make the plunge but I so hate social media. I'm hopeless really.
That's fine. That's the part where I come in. I am the motivating taskmaster. Now get to it..

Boomers are the richest generation for a reason. Slow and steady as she goes.

Isn’t that because they had parents that didn’t blow all their money on stupid shit and not save anything…like the boomers do?

Don't hate on me like that. It takes real skill to start the year with a dollar and end the year with 40 to 55 cents.
