Only gift my wife would care about is getting the damn farm finished, and she sure as shit doesn't care about valentines day. Telling her we need the money for house.Just tell her you are trying to make enough money to buy her the valentines day present she deserves!
Im too lazy to look. Does AMZN have multiple share classes with voting rights all pushed into the A shares? If not then it might be possible for activists to one day push an AWS spinoff. Otherwise I doubt management will push it because it would expose the weakness of retail side. I agree and would love for AMZN and MSFT to spin off the cloud companies.I really wish I could just own AWS, the retail business is just so bleh. I think retail could turn into a nice cash flow dividend paying behemoth some day when reinvestment spending slows down, but the real gem of amazon is AWS. We are going to be stuck with 3-5% retail growth hiding 30-40% AWS growth. No stock split is a real bummer, we need an actual company split would get the government to stop looking at them and would be far better for share holders.
The market is ALWAYS sentiment driven in the short term.People scratching their heads with TNX breakout and markets rising this morning.
50bps hike chance increasing to almost a guarantee at this point.
Does this market even care anymore? Do fundamentals ever come back or is it just emotional opportunity swings?
The retail business is what guarantees AWS will always have massive operating revenue to continue to grow and perpetually upgrade itself.I really wish I could just own AWS, the retail business is just so bleh. Fake is being a little dramatic but there are always revisions on revisions on revisions for months. Plus this time of year you have seasonal stuff to worry about.Listening to some commentators, sounds like the job numbers are fake.
Well, the feeling is that all economists were predicting a bad report. Even the White House itself apparently sent out a warning prevously? Then whamo, they beat all expectations by a huge margin? Something is rotten.Fake is being a little dramatic but there are always revisions on revisions on revisions for months. Plus this time of year you have seasonal stuff to worry about.
if you care about jobs numbers there are much more important stats embedded in the report that you should pay attention to than the overall number, but it always becomes political.
