Yeah, I have access to the account, etc. I'm just clueless as to what to move the money into. Is there a general "set and forget" buy that probably won't do amazing but will at least slowly generate over time? I'm behind as hell now, but can still hope to get a little work out of it in the next 20 years.

Drop into an S&P 500 index (like IVV) or a total market index like ITOT. Set the dividend to reinvest and then look at it once a year.

Neither of my orders hit today. Waiting patiently.

I just pivoted, I just closed those puts @ $1.60 I had sold for $2.82. So I'll take that nice gain. I also went ahead and bought SPY. Taking risk. Scary and perilous, which is why I'm doing it. It's the harder trade right here and I'm taking the gamble the harder move could pay off.

Market just went within a hair of my SPY stop, literally tickled it. The sellers were slamming it down and buyer just holding it right at that 445.50 level. Strong into close is going to be important to potentially mark a bottom of this weeks pullback. Really tough trading environment.

If today marks the bottom of this pullback makes for a nice technical set up with a 61.8% pullback from the A to B move. Which is pretty spot on what you would want to see in an uptrend.

It was 0.02 away. I'm not familiar enough sanrith's nether regions to confirm any further.

My greatest concern going forward is Q1 "surprise" misses from the Russia / Ukraine fallout. Quite a few companies are going to be writing off assets in the billions, let alone lost revenue. If we start rolling in some Q1 earnings losses and some mediocre guidance, I think we can easily see back to lows.

I want to be a market bull here, but Q1 earnings and Fed talk of multi 50bp moves.. I can't help but think this comes as a shock to market. That is despite the fact this shit has been telegraphed for a while. I think the markets are still expecting perfection in earnings. We had Q4 double beats with ok-good guides get slaughtered last quarter. I can't imagine how misses will get sold.

It's all to say, this is a really tough market. I can see the case for moving to highs or equally finding lows again. Not that I am indecisive, just what I see in my macro lens.
