Not sure how much of a chunk of their revenue was from being the sole provider of cpus for Apple macbooks, but Intel has been on a very steady decline since Apple cut ties and started producing their own (FAR superior) silicon in the M1 Pro / Max (now M2) chips. Plus you've had years of AMD nipping at the heels of the price vs performance competition. So, once again, Intel's own complacency and sandbagging their innovation for years when there was no competition has led to them being caught out. I've got zero sympathy.
