Hypothetical question; let's say a few years from now we get actual hyperinflation. USD worthless. Keep in mind I think this is a very low chance of happening; reason I'm curious is just for the sake of developing a long term investing plan.

What happens to bitcoin? What decides it's value then, just market forces?

Outside of currency I want to start stacking gold, maybe real estate, but am also thinking about bitcoin.

If we get hyperinflation and the USD is worthless then you hope you have already stocked up on guns and ammo, not buttcoins.

In that scenario either Gold or Bitcoin is the base currency. You'd want to own one or both. Also if it happens too fast... yea guns and ammo

Earnings season begins this week. Nothing really important until Friday 1/10 when banks report and we kick it into high gear.

If NVDA stays above 150 I'm thinking to let them take my shares and not roll calls. It's a nice gain for such a short period. 14% as of today

there was a great technical set up that has played out here, missed printing new ATH by a few pennies this morning. Jensen is tonight, there could be further upside depending on what he says or there could be some sell off as the hype train fades. Some of that is just noise imo, the keynote excitement etc.

Just depends on your horizon and goals, some stocks should just be held but if it's a 'trade' then it's hard to ignore taking some gains on a big move like this.

In my year+ long experience of trading NVDA every week, anything leading up to a hype event (earnings, NVDA's own AI conference, CES address) are "buy the hype, sell the news" events.

Wont matter if you're in a long hold, but if you're looking for pullbacks to buy in....

Noticeable that PLTR isn't participating today. Down 5% and was red pretty much from the open.

I know we love transparency on this forum so I will report on that MSTR put I sold a long time ago as I am now a "bag holder" on it.

100 shares, cost basis of around 43k total. However I have still been successfully selling calls above 400 strike(low risk) for about 500$ a week or 1.1% weekly. So while not the cash cow I was hoping for, it is not terrible for some steady income all things considered. I could sell the CC for more if I dropped the strike but i really dont want to get my shares called for below what i paid. I'm willing to continue doing what I'm going until it rises again(if it ever does).

Once it gets near by cost basis I will get far more aggressive with the calls as my original sentiment of not wanting to own the shares long term still holds.
