Up 10% one day and down 5% the next day on no new news just makes zero sense. The China tariffs were announced in the same tweet or truth as the 90 day pause, its not like thats new.
This is normal.
Historically, the larger the single day gain, the larger the drop the following day - usually due to profit taking.

- After the 11.58% gain on October 13, 2008 (financial crisis relief plan), the market fell 0.77% the next day
- After the 10.79% gain on October 28, 2008, the market dropped 5.20% the next day
- After the 9.38% gain on March 24, 2020 (COVID stimulus), the market fell 2.93% the next day

Likely should short BMW, MB, VW, Audi into the ground if this passes. China vehicles are literally less than half the price.

"Normal"

Down 4.6% which really only compares to Oct 2008. Gotta love the new normal, this shit was self inflicted.

China has dumped a shitload of treasuries this week. 10 year up half a percent so far and it's not even Friday.

View attachment 581896

China is still playing with the decades old mentality that they can "crush our economy" by selling their US Treasuries. They are wrong.

Question becomes... How much in treasuries do they have to dump? And it does sound like a "You only have so many bullets in that magazine there chief..." scenario.
