Sold off my AMC, IPOE, CCIV. Figured it was a good time to take profits . Too much alphabet on the screen to manage. Need to figure out if fidelity will move/hide stocks/funds you intend to hold regardless so you can just see the stuff you are being active with

"Mysteriously"?

Both Polish and Russian investigators found that the Polish pilots YOLOed the plane and there was no technical faults

polish pilots = russian assets

In stock news so this post is not total garbage:

I sold 15 contracts of CCIV for later this month and got paid over $4,500 for 35 strike. I'll damn well take it, since if I DID ever see it hit 35 i'd probably sell anyways. Juicy thick premiums do seem like "free money". If only I could bring myself to sell covered calls on my PLTR.

Just purchased:

$5000 CRHC / AACQ / BTNB. SPACs are back on.

Too bad I didn't hold the $11 THCB I had late last year.

Surprised at the lack of interest in WPF, they announced they will complete a merger with Alight in Q2 2021, so it sounds like its a done deal pretty much but the stock is still a dog. Im down like 20% on it for the past 2 weeks

It went up on the news and then people sold, as happens with almost every SPAC.

Alight is a company that will probably be worth holding at the ~$12 price point.

It's not a stupid company with a stupid idea like all these automated electric air taxis.

Yeah, I'm surprised WPF isn't doing better, most other spacs with no news are up on whats essentially an all green day, and even BFT is back up after it's initial sell off after the first wave of news

Bunch of Johnny-come-latelies around here.

Oh.

Blackberry sold, recouped 80% of the initial investment. It didn't go above 79% all week until this morning. They can rocketship it all they want but I wasn't seeing results, and a steep decline seems inevitable. Also got out of Tesla for now, until it dips.

At the advice of this thread, I put in for: VOO, SLV, QQQ, ARKG, ARKF, SAII, BTNB. Also keeping Lordstown. GME I'm still holding, though I'm down to 70% there. Squeezing away. Also got some Amazon due to tomorrow's reports.

Also got in on BTC at 32k...wish I'd gotten in at 6k when I first wanted to, but I let some usually-knowledgeable people steer me away from it with "it isn't even real" talk.

I think I've got a good start on some longer-term investments here. Next week when I've got more money to play with I'll get Ethereum and FTEC.

BTC seems to lately follow a weekly-ish trend of down to $30k, back close to $40k, and repeating that way again. I'm not ballsy enough to put money in that stuff though. Probably a good bet for someone willing to ride that wave up and down though.

For those new to Fidelity and new to options, get familiar with the Options Strategy Ideas Tool. Assuming a stock has 2-years of history, it will calculate a 2-year backtest and tell you the probability of being assigned on an option at a specific strike and date. Math is your best friend with options.

ps.. that is still a nice premium for a 7% chance of assignment.

I concur, but right now I've got buying power in RH that I'm trying to use (rather than having to pull more funds out of the bank). They must be completely backlogged because all of my transactions across all of these apps are on hours-long delays.
Can't use the instant money on crypto. It has to be money that has already cleared your account and everything.
