Not sure that's founded in reality. Also doesn't help when AMC issued 22 44 million new shares last week.

I'm not sure of historic short action, but I imagine shorts so a big opportunity with covid so we've seen a spike in short activity.

Someone with perhaps above average knowledge of finance puts together a mishmash of numbers and buzzwords that seem plausible and make it seem like it’s “definitely gonna moon any day now if you have faith.” Then that day will come, it won’t happen, and then it’ll be “we didn’t hit the right combination of earth moon and stars today, but next Tuesday is definitely gonna be the day.”

Then people post images of it on Stocktwits every 0.1 seconds.
