Serious question: would you own stock in a company if they decided to buy BTC with their cash and put it on their books. The concern I see is two-fold. First what if BTC crashes. More importantly though, what happens when investors or institutional investors like pension funds sue the company after BTC crashes and accuses them of failing in their fiduciary duty to the shareholders. This type of action hasn't been seen in court yet. There is potential risk that is hard to model. How about the risk that ours or another major government bans crypto.

Obviously there is the flip side that BTC goes to a million $$ and they look like geniuses.
Again I've always thought BTC was stupid to invest in and I've been catastrophically wrong the entire time.

It ain't going anywhere and it's finite nature means it will continue to rise in value. Even if it is retarded.

Only reason I don't jump into BTC is because it lacks two things the stock market has -

Decades worth of data to support perpetual gains - BTC is only a decade old - Meanwhile you can point to any decade of the SP500 and show a +10% gain
Diversification - Dozens of stocks implode all the time, but there are plenty of others that allow you to offset your losses. If one day BTC does have a major issue you don't have any other options

3. Government supports and regulates the stock market. It does not regulate BTC and wants to see it dead.

March 22 (Reuters) - The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday turned away Facebook Inc's(FB) bid to pare back a $15 billion class action lawsuit accusing the company of illegally tracking the activities of internet users even when they are logged out of the social media platform.

The justices declined to hear Facebook's(FB) appeal of a lower court ruling that revived the proposed nationwide litigation accusing the company of violating a federal law called the Wiretap Act by secretly tracking the visits of users to websites that use Facebook(FB) features such as the "like" button.

The litigation also accuses the company of violating the privacy rights of its users under California law but Facebook's(FB) appeal to the Supreme Court involved only the Wiretap Act. (Reporting by Andrew Chung in New York; Editing by Will Dunham)

If there are any doubts, check out this lineup

LFC31: Booty Camp 2 will see seven fighters make their LFC debut, including Shelby 'The Panther' Paris who recently appeared in the LFC's 2021 Calendar, Barbie 'Platinum Fury' Hudson and Veronica 'The VP' Payne.

"It's been a dream of mine to fight for the LFC," Hudson says. "So I'm really excited to get the opportunity." Paris adds that she "had a great time doing the calendar and have been looking forward to getting my first fight." Payne reports, "The LFC is a combination of two things I love, violence and beauty!"

Some of the most popular LFC veterans are also on the card including European Champion Jolene 'The Valkyrie' Hexx, former Champion Shay 'The Fox' Mazzato and Jenevieve 'The Sorceress' Hexxx (no relation to Jolene Hexx), who is the sole remaining veteran of the league's first ever live event. The main event will feature Katie 'The Bombshell' Forbes taking on Salina (a newbie to the LFC but a very veteran fighter elsewhere) for the vacant Booty Camp Champ title. In total there will be eight bouts featuring 16 of the world's most beautiful fighters.

"We're eager to build on the positive momentum we built at the legendary Buffalo Chip in Sturgis during the Rally," Donnelly says. "And I think we've put together a killer line-up."

LFC30: Born To Be Wild attracted a huge crowd in Sturgis but that won't be the case with LFC31: Booty Camp 2. Due to COVID restrictions in Nevada, the event will not be allowed to have a live audience. Instead it will be streamed live on the LFC's very own pay-per-view platform at https://lingeriefc.com/events/lfc-31-booty-camp-2/.

ORDER PAY-PER-VIEW HERE: https://lingeriefc.com/events/lfc-31-booty-camp-2/

Booty Camp 2 airs tomorrow.

I really just like the stock.

This is not financial advice

Picked up this African today. It's a full ounce of gold, but the composition of these are 91.67 percent gold and 8.33 percent copper. Amazing how much the copper comes through, as compared to 0.9999 gold. This does at least make it very resilient to handling, which is cool, because I like to play around with stuff and not just have it sitting locked away somewhere.

Another fun fact about these, unlike many government issued coins, they don't have a face value. It's legal tender in South Africa simply at whatever an ounce of gold is worth.

If I see a drop below $1600 I might begin my gold horde.

It might! I was just listening to an analyst today and he said it’s possible to see 1500-1600 in the coming months and his prediction is above 2000 up to 2200 in the coming year.

I’m not gonna get a ton more, but I do want two things. I’ll probably pick up a gold American Eagle soon, and I want a Maple Leaf. Shit is pretty addictive so who knows, but that’s the two other main things I’m looking at. Maybe I’ll end up getting a Buffalo too.

The Krug was from a local coin shop as it was about $100 over spot and no shipping obviously.

The other coins I’ve got and silver bullion bars have been from a combination of JM Bullion and SD Bullion, mostly JM. Very legit and popular online dealers.

Some other stuff I got today. When I was a kid I used to collect coins (for what that was worth, didn't have much money obviously,) so I find this stuff kinda fun in its own right, precious metals market aside.

A "novelty" 2 gram Heraeus Kinebar. The dealer also had a 100 gram version but it was nearing 6 grand.

I got one silver Krug to go with the gold

A silver maple to go along with my eventual purchase of a gold maple. Gotta say - these are really nifty coins. I've seen the gold ones in person too and they're honestly the best looking government issued gold coin out there in my opinion. My phone camera doesn't really do it justice, they look better in person. Only "problem" is if you will, they're .9999 gold so you can't really handle them much and have to be careful with them if you want to keep them unscratched and in good shape.

Because I want one silver of all the major currencies just for collecting, I got one of the Austrian Wiener Philharmonics. I'm just not that into these. I find them very busy to look at even in person. I wouldn't buy one of these in gold.

And now my stack as a whole, silver bars and all. Tomorrow (or maybe the next day) I've got some more single silver coins coming from various countries from JM Bullion.

Ugh, so I did our taxes today, and it looks like we completely blew past the traditional IRA phase out. I figured there was a big chance we'd be in the phase out, but we overshot it.

Has anyone done an IRA recharacterization before? Our IRA's are with Vanguard. Wondering if it's something they'll just take care for us, or if it's going to be a giant pain in the ass for me to do on my own.

Edit: I should add that we already both have a traditional and Roth IRA with Vanguard (4 "accounts" total), so it's not going to be a simple "roll over the entire thing" affair.

Have one. It's easy to tell they are much more durable if someone used them as actual currency.

Krugerrands still dent if you drop them onto a tile floor, ask me how i know.

I'm really unsure how gold is going to do. On the face of it, you'd say it should surge because of all the money printing. However, people were saying the same thing 8-10 years ago with all the QE cycles, $2000+ gold and all that. Never happened, it dropped down and then went sideways for years. We didn't see the hyperinflation (or even particularly high inflation) that people were predicting back then too.
