Thats what activist investors want. Spin off profitable segments and stop letting them carry dead weight.

Hasbro on the whole is incredible at brand management though. Maybe instead of a spinoff, they should just stop making toys and just license the toy IPs to other manufacturers, and then pivot to being a digital gaming and brand company.

Double Beat, but also they're in the middle of acquiring Splunk.. I see where they're wanting to head in the industry with getting into the data analytics game, but I have heavy doubts Splunk is going to be the horse to get them there.

Happy with WMT earnings things continue to move in the right direction, stock response is a total meh. I'm really fine with it staying in this range and just keep reinvesting dividends, the move to >$150 is coming just a matter a time. Wish they would have upped div by more than a penny/qtr but get that capital demands outweigh doing that right now. 49 yrs of dividend increases

Yeah I don't think Cisco can reinvent themselves into a company that does something other than sell blinky boxes that you plug other things into, but I'm not sure they need to.

That just need to price Cisco UCS a little more aggressively vs other similar datacenter products, and keep pushing and expanding Meraki.

PLTR missed, but the things I saw I actually liked. Almost showing a profit, revenue growing and Corp customers are growing and taking a bigger chunk of revenue from the gubmint. I am sort of happy it has been sinking since if it was in the mid high 20's it would have been crushed and left for dead. Margins are over 20% so they just need to keep doing what they are doing and continue to grow revenue. They have an unassailable moat. They just need to scale up.

PTON is the short that just keeps giving. Bulls run it up at open and immediately falls back even lower in the first hour. This has been my best week for probably the last 6 months.

Bitfarms has been on my radar the last few weeks. BITF - If you like bitcoin miner stocks, this one looks solid fundamentally and is currently undervalued. Would be a long hold. They are expanding operations with little debt and mining about 10 coins a day which is about a 50% increase over 2021. There is some risk associated with the low ROE.

WMT has a lot of overhead resistance starting at $140 and continuing up into $142.50. Think I am going to trim a little bit if we touch $140.
Thinking about trimming a small bit of ABBV as well. It has had a really nice run.

Indexes don't seem to be happy today. I wonder if after bouncing off of 447 yesterday that SPY and company is going to start legging down?

Certainly doesn't look good but these declines dont seem to have any oomph behind them compared to January to push us lower. More frustration for both sides likely ahead. I'm thinking could be another 2 weeks of this before it fully commits to a direction. Pendulum swings, a break lower now seems more likely. Think of how scary...fun a drop to 3800 would be.
