I maintain the web filtering solution for a company it really depends on if any content filtering is in use that would function while you're off your VPN. If nothing then just avoid anything in your browser history and don't do it while connected to their network and you'd probably be fine. The one I support works in and out of the office regardless of where you're at, blocks disallowed content/logs just about everything viewed regardless. It sucks that shit like it has to exist, if people could just practice common sense when browsing at the office it wouldn't be needed.

Why would you do that? Don't you have a smart phone? Porn is the #1 use for mine.

Get admin rights to your system and use another browser. If you're forced to use IE, make sure it deletes cookies, cache, history, auto complete data, etc. Check your task manager and search each of the programs running that you're not familiar with to see what they can or cannot do. My VPN blocks nudey pics when doing random google searches, but not when disconnected from the VPN. Other than my company's internal firewalls, the only thing installed on my system is basic mcafee and hardware encryption tied to my system login and neither have anything to do with tracking. Unless mcafee captures some shady link source, but that's where admin rights come in to clear the tracking logs.

Depends on where you work. Thankfully I work for a laid back university level school in Scandinavia. Our students all come from abroad and we tell them: "We know you're human, just be careful where you surf to, don't view any illegal shit and don't whack it at your desk." So there is no corporate spying of work computers or anything like that. I limit myself to RR, Reddit (and by extension Imgur) and occasionally arty farty sites like DeviantArt and Tumblr and shit. Life's good.

Just watch it on your phone like the rest of us. Then you can look at porn AT work.

As has been mentioned if all you wanna do is jerk it to some necrorape flicks make a bootdisk. I've seen people fired for porn on work computers. I've also seen people fired for online poker.

But they're only gonna notice if you're a dumbshit about it or you've got some government clearance. J/K, the Top Secret guys don't check shit.

I view those sorts of policies as a stupid check more than a morals check. Like.. if this guy is SO stupid that he got caught doing this... do we really want to pay him?

get an hdmi-to-miniusb adapter for your android phone (or the lightning to hdmi adapter for iOS) and plug that shit into your hotel room's tv. Watch your porn on HD. Or netflix or just do your shit on the TV.

My laptop assploded on the road once and I did a couple days' work with a bluetooth keyboard paired to my phone and the hotel room's TV.

I know of a company that found out they had 80 people in one office viewing porn daily so they fired everyone they disliked and gave those they needed or liked just a warning.

So, if you want to do something, and to do it "safely" people are offering you all kinds of ways to be sneaky about it, doesn't it just seem like a better idea not to do it? It's a work computer. It's provided for work. It isn't provided for you to find movies to which you can bash the bishop. Doing so violates some of the trust your employer has in you.

Isn't that reason enough not to do it?

Its like my dad told me that one time I left my porn in the VCR. Boy, I don't care if you jack off. But if I ever see a cumstain on the couch or find porn in the VCR again I will beat you bloody.

I decided to never call that bluff. Tough love.

Play smart.

McAfee uses a centralized reporting platform called ePolicy Orchestrator, if it is logging that data it is most definitely relaying it to there for reporting purposes using an agent behind the scenes. The product that McAfee has that does web monitoring is called SiteAdvisor. Any ePO admin worth a shit would make admin rights a moot point by locking down the console for the product and enable access protection so that users can't terminate it via task manager or services. If they don't then that's your benefit :p

Argumentum ad populum. Just because some people here are paranoid doesn't mean keg shouldn't snort one more line and jack it to the Megan Fox of Ohio. And whom are you to say what a work computer should be used for? Bashing the bishop can be a lot of work for coke snorters and SSRI poppers alike. A happy worker is a productive worker. I say go ahead, Keg, work on that job satisfaction.

If you are not doing anything else to draw ire at work, then you are not likely to get pinched for porn surfing. What will happen is if you piss someone off and they want to can your ass for something else, they will check your browsing to see if they can nail you there.

Go to a nearby bar and find a rando who's up for a quickie. Probably some married woman on a similar work related outing that you can snag. (Your nerd is showing.)
