Especially since they're all calling them racists now. Their sex has been forgotten. How much cash do the the Jury get to go on CNN and do these interviews? I would be scared out my mind of them releasing my name...
What is a polemic?I'd hypothesize this is mostly a function of media being profit maximizing and myself being aroused by salacious theatrics and not reasoned, empirically backed polemics.
Yeah, but that same evidence was enough to convince 3 of them that Zimmerman was guilty outright. If there had been 2 murder votes and 2 manslaughter votes (a difference of just 1 person), they probably would have decided to charge him withsomething. If there had been 2 murder votes and 3 manslaughter votes, that 1 not guilty vote would have had her work cut out for her trying to convince the other 5 they were on the wrong track. With such a small number of jurors it really seems like a crapshoot.Well, the evidence was clearly enough to convince 3 people outright, and the other three on review, so how do you conclude it could have easily went the other way?
Initial votes are irrelevant. Final votes are the only ones that matter.
But did this come from that juror interview on Anderson Cooper earlier? I've only been able to find snippets of it so far. Would like to see the whole thing.
As if anyone still entertains Anderson Cooper as a credible form of journalism now.......Yeah, but that same evidence was enough to convince 3 of them that Zimmerman was guilty outright. Yeah, it's from Anderson Cooper.
Tidbits:
This juror didn't get the knock-knock joke until later.
One of the jurors still entertained the possibility it could have been Martin calling for help.
This juror was very impressed with the defense's medical examiner (Dr. Di Meowmeow, I guess)
Rachel Jeantel looked embarrassed to be there "because of her education and the way she spoke"
The police officer who said Zimmerman's story seemed truthful had a "big impact" on this witness.
They just keep playing this interview over and over. It'll be all over the place soon, I'm sure.
So is your complaint is more that thousands of neighborhood watches exist rather than that GZ defended himself with deadly force? Please, you guys love this. I've read the timeline yes. And I still do not believe that you should die for starting a scrap. I still find it frightening that the neighborhood watch is carrying guns and shooting unarmed people. I am not denying any of the facts that have been gone over ad nauseum in this thread. I reiterate my claim that I don't think George Zimmerman should have been policing his neighborhood. Tanoomba, I don't know your parenting skills or your background, but the decision making skills of 17 year olds are notoriously bad. I know FOH used to oscilate on any number of views, and i'm unsure where rerolled is on population control, but are we really at the point where bad decisions by 17 year olds should end in death? How does it go, young dum and full of cum? Trayvon gets "LEAN" "muscles", and death is an appropriate response. Interesting.
If ifs and buts were candy and nuts this conversation would be a party.Yeah, but that same evidence was enough to convince 3 of them that Zimmerman was guilty outright. If there had been 2 murder votes and 2 manslaughter votes
Good. He's worked his ass off his entire life and had a very very good career. Its only his just desserts that he is viewed as more credible than that pair of jokesters Bao and Rao.This juror didn't get the knock-knock joke until later.

Knocking someone down, mounting them, and proceding to hit them in the face so hard their head is ricocheting off the concrete = "Starting a scrap"Please, you guys love this. I've read the timeline yes. And I still do not believe that you should die for starting a scrap.
Among responsible gun owners (those that register) the rate of homicide is very low, Much lower than the crimes (like over 1,000 rapes PER DAY that are prevented by the presence of a gun) they prevent. You should place the actual fear amongst criminals that don't follow laws, then statistically you should thank people like Zimmerman that protect communities for you because it sounds like you would fold in a real confrontation faster than a wet kleenex. Please, you guys love this. Well who do you think should have been policing the area then? Uniformed police officers? That's fair I guess but meh, you want a cop on every corner and the reality that comes with that? Or the other way -- Nobody? There is no right of a community to self regulate, and the reality that comes with that? Please, you guys love this. I've read the timeline yes. Should? Of course not, nobody except maybe a troll or two has said Trayvon deserved to die, aggravated assault isn't a capital crime. What Trayvon deserved was to survive the incident and spend time in prison for aggravated assault. Please, you guys love this. I've read the timeline yes. You're right, a 17 year old should not die because of bad decisions, but it happens all the time. Alcohol poisoning, car surfing, drug overdoses... everybody makes stupid decisions sometimes. Most of the time we learn from them and move on. For an unlucky few, those stupid decisions end in death. Martin's stupid decision to "start a scrap" ended with the guy he was beating up fearing for his life and defending himself with the gun he was legally carrying. it sucks, but that's what happened. Please, you guys love this. But they can make life or death decisions without carrying a gun, of course, like beating someone's head into concrete. As the defense said, it didn't matter if his life was in danger, only that he thought he was in danger. I think of what my wife thinks of as danger, and what I think of as danger, and again I come to the conclusion that I don't want random people making life and death decisions when they are carrying a gun.
