I think the country has become increasingly polarized and once people start rejecting the Justice System (however defined) as a means for resolving disputes (think Dredd Scott) war is inevitable. Don't forget there are a lot more people from Southern states in the military than Northern states.
@Gavinrad 27-28 years to a war seems about right if current trends continue and efforts aren't made to bridge the gun-abortion-travyon martin-NSA divide, given that most SECESSION talk I know of seems to have started around 2010-2011.

No.
I do think that a violent civil conflict could occur in the nation sometime during the next century, sure. I mean anything's possible and we are pretty divided lately.

I think if the blacks all unified simehow to try and overthrow whitey, there would be a lot less black people than there are now while whitey would hardly take a hit. There is a reason why hitler or tojo never tried invading the US. Too many angry white men with guns.

Yea, I can't watch his show. He's consistently about emotion, how you should feel about situations regardless of the lack of information. I'll decide how I feel, just tell me what's happening. Maddow is much better about this shit. I suspect because she's a chick and a homo she puts more effort into framing her information so you can't come at it from the chick or homo angle.
