No no no, Chaos, I am not filling in the blanks at all. Assuming someone doesn't mean what they say is filling in the blanks. I'm reading clearly expressed statements within clear contexts. "American Inventors gonna Kang" is a racist statement. Using it to express a non-racist idea is counter-intuitive at best and fucking stupid at worst. Also, regardless of what cryptic hidden meanings the speaker intends, using racist statements to try to get those meanings across endorses and encourages casual racism. That, as I've said many times, makes the real racism problem worse (intentionally or not).

Or, you know, we could "critique" cultures without making blatantly racist statements, which both make the speaker sound like a racist and encourage the expression of casual racism, which a lot of people justifiably have a problem with. Or keep championing the use of "American Inventors gonna Kang" as some virtuous symbol of your right to self-expression. Whatever, it's your call.

What's the problem, Tuco? There is actually no racism going on in this discussion, and race has a lot to do with the circumstances surrounding the case. It's a two-sided conversation worth having with points being made on both sides, and with the exception of one asshole most people are actually able to discuss this with some level of maturity. Nobody's breaking any rules, those who are participating are doing so of their own free will, and anybody who's filing complaints to you can simply ignore the thread. I don't understand why you have to jump in and rickshaw the whole thing. Oh well, Tucos gonna Tuc, I guess.
