All right, here we go:
I never attempted to derail the threads, and it was certainly never my goal to get either one into the rickshaw. I was quite enjoying the debate in both threads, even when others were doing their best to saturate them with as many shitposts as possible. I have come to peace with the fact that Zimmerman's actions were justified and he is not the bad guy the media made him out to be alongtime ago. That has not been a factor in anything I've been discussing since. What you call "semantics arguments" I call "making a very simple point that everybody's apparently really sensitive about". They were real points, and as I've proved repeatedly, they were more than valid. I certainly believe Zimmerman would likely not have died had he not been carrying a gun, and the evidence supports that, but that's not an attempt to put blame on Zimmerman, as I've said hundreds of times now. It's just a conversation related to the case about a point that hasn't been exhausted by either the media or this board.

You'll also notice the trial's been over for a while now. Talking about racism (which the trial brought to light) is relevant and actually kept the thread interesting. I was almost single-handedly generating interest in a thread whose time was pretty much up anyway. It was working great, too. Mixed in with all the stupid posts were some pretty interesting points and perspectives. Then some idiot had to come in and shitpost it right into the rickshaw because he couldn't hold his liquor.

Do you understand? Or are you going to invent new interpretations of what I just said because you can't stand to face the fact that someone made you look like an idiot? Don't pretend you aren't reading my posts. Or better yet, pretend! I like knowing you don't want to confront me.

I know you guys stand up for Hodj, but have you read his drunken shitpost marathon? There is literally zero doubt who got this thread rickshawed, and anyone who says otherwise is either trolling, blinded by bias or genuinely retarded. You'll notice I didn't even attempt to engage him during his batshit crazy spree. If I had, people would have accused me of egging him on, so I let him do his thing, which kept going and going and going until the mods just couldn't reasonably let it continue any more. Before Hodj's derailment, the rest of us were having a reasonably civil (if sometimes heated) discussion. It was interesting and lively and there was no reason to rickshaw the thread. Or is "guys expresses opinion you don't agree with" really grounds for rickshawing a thread?
