Anyone got a link to the animation?

In that video about the texts, one of the text boxes said the assistant to the physician who treated zimmerman testified that zim was doing MMA training. LOL'd because of its relevance to what we were saying yesterday, and because ... why the fuck would she know about something like that?

Did the judge allow the toxicology reports on T-dawg that show he was high at the time of his death?

I dunno that the entire animation has been shown yet, I tuned out yesterday when they were going over some of that. None of it has been shown to the jury yet. She did allow the toxicology reports, which is even dumber because then she went on to not allow the text messages because a magic invisible 7 year old might have made them sometime, even though any linguistics expert could verify that they were all made by the same person just reading them I'm sure.

Thats so fucking absurd. Does this now set a precedent that cell phone texts cannot be admissible because anyone could have made them? Someone should tell this to Kwame Kilpatrick.

As for the text messages, Martin didn't send them to himself. Couldn't they identify the other parties involved in the conversations and call them as witnesses to testify that those messages did, in fact, come from Treyvon?

The defense said that they would have done just that if the state hadn't withheld them.

I think that's what West was complaining about last night, that they didn't have time to apparently prove the sky is fucking blue. Judge is such a dumb cunt.

The defense's big argument is that the State knowingly withheld exculpatory evidence to deny the defense the opportunity to do just that. The defense had no chance to track down the recipients of these messages because the State tried to hide the evidence and didn't confirm it until the last moment before trial. There is some additional question if the State agents actually deleted and destroyed some of this incriminating evidence against TM.

The State had this evidence since at least January; it wasn't turned over to the defense until June.

Actually, the defense tried to get witnesses but the judge didn't really give them enough time. They were in session until 10pm and was in recess until 8am the following morning. It doesn't sound so bad, until you realize that this doesn't give a lot of time to get witnesses since they haven't had the text messages for any length of time - a few days, really - when the prosecution has been sitting on it for six months. The judge also appeared to have denied (or ignored to some extent) a request for just a couple days to collect witnesses for other parties - for this very matter.

With that all said, its up to the grand jury to decide the fate. And from all the legal analysis that I've seen, the prosecution hasn't really done a good job of disproving self-defense claims. A lot of the witnesses from the prosecution who were set to discredit George Zimmerman, were either discredited in someway or in turn actually credited his characterization profile.

Could the defense not have checked Martin's Facebook activity and gotten access to the same texts well before the fact?

The Defense was given these text messages on June 1st according to West last night during the trial. They asked for a continuance to delay the start of the trial, so they could locate the people on the other end of the text messages to help identify them, and the Judge said "No, you said the trial will start on X date, the trial starts on X date".

So basically, the Prosecution withheld the text message evidence until the last minute, then the Judge used the inability of the Defense to verify Martin's identity on the texts by contacting the people he was texting as the reason to not allow the texts into the trial.

So basically this entire trial is rigged, and they still can't flimflam the Zimzam.

Could the defense not have checked Martin's Facebook activity and gotten access to the same texts well before the fact?
They were text messages on his phone behind multiple layer encryption methods that required the FBI to hire specialists to break open.

Not that it should matter, the prosecution is required BY LAW to disclose all evidence to the defense before the trial begins.

The defense knows the prosecution is now going after the manslaughter charge and I believe this witness is to discredit the manslaughter charge.

Oh, for fuck's sake, CNN. What's the point of live courtroom coverage if we get 10 seconds of silence every time you're scared someone's going to say "asshole"?
Put a fucking disclaimer, you pussies.
