I think this was a massive, massive improvement... that still doesn't really make a great movie. This is passable, like a 6/10; the theatrical release was just so awful and disjointed that this is a masterpiece by comparison. I'm not sure where the complaints about the audio come from though, this played in atmos for me with a 5.1.4 setup and it was fantastic from an audio perspective

I hate to be “that guy” but technically WW could fly in 1984 (there is one of the worst scenes ever filmed when she flies in WW84) so she can fly in JL.
The scene was absolutely a nod to avengers. Did Whedon do Ultron?

fact is, when they did BvS which i guess is "present time" and AFTER WW84 - she didnt fly at all, from what i remember. which would have super useful against a 10 story monster who kills superman
this franchise is such ass, they cant even agree on what superpowers a character should have from 1 director to the next in same universe

Anyways while i didnt care too much for the original i give this a 7.5/8 or 10 - Seeing DS in this and the gaps being filled made even the 4hour slug worth it. This is something that should never be in theaters but is well worth it on the home theater.
I still dont like Aflec as Batman -
I still hate how The Flash feels so forced and out of place (to me)
Some of Cyborgs dialogue is meh
That aside id have loved for the fight when Superman came back to be a bit closer to comic, Aquaman and him could go toe to toe a bit better than that.

Stop being stupid that only mentioned underwater the other mentioned land - Furthermore this Aquaman is supposedly based more off the badass New 52 version of Aquaman - his burst are faster than his sustained on land and water hence why he can dodge lightning - you can gripe and bitch but its already been in the comics so your whining means nothing.

Sterling answered you already, but I want to add that generally movies that do this generally have a variable aspect ratio when being shown on non-Imax screens for theaters. Some of them keep that variable aspect ratio when they come to home media, but a lot of them lose it.
The Dark Knight, for example, had a full Imax cut, and also showed in theaters and switched aspect ratios (which most people dont notice cause they do it during action scenes, which tend to be the most engrossing) for when Nolan really wanted to show everything they filmed, then back for scenes that didnt need the whole frame.
But then when the movie went to Blu-ray and streaming, the bluray can do the aspect switch, but streams (I think, it may have changed now) are fixed in widescreen.
tl;dr: its all over the place and I dont even know how much is up to the director past the initial cut of the movie shown in theaters.
