So I went out this past Thursday night with a chick and we got extra fucking wasted. Im too old for this shit, I know. But we were down in the media room and I guess.. the Razer mouse I have with the swappable sides.. was hooked up to the charging cable and it got kicked? I noticed it was in the floor, missing its side the next morning. I looked all over, but couldnt find the SOB so I said fuck it and went about my day. Havent played any games down there for over a week now so its w/e. This morning, I was washing my clothes and threw them in the dryer. When Im taking the shit out of the dryer ... there is the side of the mouse. I guess I .. picked it up and put it in my pocket? I have no idea why, I was blacked out. But now.. Im afraid if I put it back on the mouse.. it'll hurt the mouse? Am I just being paranoid in that idea? Or will it just not work cause I fried whatever chip is probably in it by washing and drying it.

Follow up question - can you buy just the replacement side for these Mouses if it is fucked?... Hrmm..

Naga Trinity? As long as the heat from the dryer didn't damage anything, it should be fine as long as it's completely dry when you reattach it. All the swappable side plates have is a the buttons and a connection to the mouse. I've had USB sticks go through a wash and dry cycle and come out fine.

Has anyone used a quality hall effect keyboard? Can you compare its typing feel to something like Cherry Reds? Brahma Brahma has one of everything, right? I know it's a better technology from customizing the switch reset/activation standpoint, but I worry they will just feel like membrane keyboards.

Yeah. I have the Razer Huntsman V3. It's...OK. I don't care for it, because there is like zero feedback regardless of the settings.

Would you really gain anything from a HE keyboard vs just a good mechanical keyboard? It seems like they only real selling point to me is being able to actuate again without fulling coming up on the key, but is that something that is actually a problem? You can get so many different mechanical switches for whatever your desire is.

For me it's more around fine tuning in just software. I could order one of those big trays full of switches to try them all, but realistically trying it out for a while then wanting to tweak it means rebuilding the work whole keyboard. In theory, it would be good to be able to change actuation point slightly for example.

Looks like Gateron and others are coming out with mechanical feeling HE switches so it's only a matter of time. But I had heard the original releases like from Wooting and Razer with their gaming KBs were pretty lousy for typing feel.

Tried out a Razar Tartarus Pro back in the day, which wasn't HE but optical, with two configurable actuation points. This didn't work out for me at all, because even if you are used to linear switches there is just absolutely no feeling or feedback, you just type like into air.

Right but companies are now making HE switches with springs, basically just mechanical switches with HE actuation.

My Keychron K2 HE spring looks like this based on the literature. I can set actuation distance, rapid trigger, and other things through their web configurator or use QMK software. I've honestly not even customized it at all. It is my favorite keyboard and I'd love to order another one for my other PC.

This is the first mouse I've seen with truly next gen features and I'm very curious about it. Sorry it's imbedded in a HLL video but I did timestamp it. Watch the whole spiel it has some really cool shit. Brahma Brahma I expect a full review.

Had this mouse few years back. I posted it here also. Maybe the Shit I Bought thread. I would find it, but search is bonked for me for some reason.

Well... we're waiting?... whats your review bro. tf lol

...you summa bitch! Making my old ass remember.

The tilt thing worked...sometimes. Plus I'm someone who constantly picks up his mouse...So I didn't bother with it past the 1st game.

The buttons were just not really useable. Lets take those four buttons below the left and right buttons. I'm not some monkey (Fuck you all in advance) who can keep his hand curled up for constant use of said buttons. Plus I never want my fingers to leave the main left/right. The two buttons on the main left are fine though as far as placement.

Using them also moved my mouse too much on the buttons that required you to pull down toward your palm. It looked great on paper and in the video...but notice there are not long stretches in that video of them playing? Because I'm sure his mouse wasn't accurate when he attempted anything outside using the left/right main buttons and he was getting fucked up during gameplay.

Thumb and index finger is the only places I want extra buttons.

Also I don't remember the mouse being able to make macros or something like that.

I just didn't like it overall.
