Aren't these guildelines just Steam market compliant over countries like saudi arabia, etc? Like, this isn't a multiplayer / MMO game, who cares? It's a solo RPG game, if you want to kill any NPC you hate, just go with it lol.

I think I pirated the first game. It was interesting but kinda clunky gameplay. Not sure if I even finished it.

Not a game thats high on my wishlist, I dont need more games in my List of Shame on Steam!

Man, I think this is getting overblown. I never played the first game, but the code of conduct they have on their steam page atm does not reflect anything more than the boiler plate shit, though they do say they changed it recently.

Also, its Deep Silver that controls their steam page, not Warhorse. Least, the people posting the rules of conduct are Deep Silver, the Publisher and not Warhorse itself.

Now I am not saying pre-order or even buy first week. Wait till other people have played this game and see what they have to say, but so far all reviews from people who have played it and called out the bullshit of Veilguard seem pretty happy with KCD2.

The other part is the developer seems to be hinting pretty hard by his statements that, sure, you can go gay but if you do all the people in the game are going to call you a cock gobbling faggot. There are some hints coming from people around this Vavra guy that he did it as sorta a troll. His way of calling homo's faggots. He has said that, if you do choose gay you will face all the ramifications and consequences of such as per the historical era. Ie, the church will denounce you and people will call you a faggot and you will be shunned.

Again, by no means preorder or day one purchase, but I am kinda curious to see if there is some sorta blow back when/if people choose to go gay with Henry, only to find out they are suddenly the villain and everyone who knows calls them hurty words.

A part of me wonders if he didn't take DEI money, just to put a black man and a gay in the game, only to have the black dude go full muslim and talk about how women need to be put back in cages and they should have no rights, and have the gay guy get called faggot in disgust every time people find out.

Anyway, we'll see. If he did go full on fucking United Colors of Benetton embrace the rainbow of faggotry, let the game burn. But if its a game where you are excommunicated and spit on if you choose 'modern day' preferences, I'd personally find that hilarious.

You're assuming Vávra still has final say about that kind of stuff. He doesn't. Warhorse was acquired by THQ Nordic->Koch Media->Plaion after the release of KCD. The publisher Deep Silver is also owned by Plaion, so really it's just one entity making all the decisions.

Personally, I thought KCD was one of the most dull and tedious RPGs I've played and I didn't find Henry interesting enough to continue past about a dozen hours. On two different occasions actually, once when it first released and again just a few weeks ago. So I guess I'm not too bothered either way, but I was still going to give it a shot.

You might be right, and I haven't seen that take yet regarding them being owned and him not having a say anymore.

My thing is more I'm watching all the social media talking heads flog this topic for content going to extreme hyperbole for clicks. A lot of their claims being Ouroboros stuff they just keep feeding each other that grows with each telling but doesn't really have the factual basis they claim.

This is the first I've heard about Warhorse not being independent to write their own, but again if its true and the go woke, fuck em.

Side note, but sorta related. I'm expecting to see a lot of false reporting in the future to start infighting amongst 'the right' and to discredit some of their less diligent talking heads.
