hans is supposed to be 15? henry 16? what? they are both in no way even remoted written as such 99% of the time. strangers dont act like they are teens. actors are older, in game models are 20-23ish.
If you didn't tell me there is explicitly a codex that lists hans age as 15, I would have never have even considered it.
so, presumably its just the real Hans would have been 15 at the time of the game, but the game version is actually older? and just at total nonanswer from Vavra..

The argument is that, if you read the lore files for game 1 your sidekick was born in X year, so in game 2 that would make him 15. Therefore, you're a PDF. As Caliane pointed out, nothing about the characters makes me think 'oh, these are kids'. At this point I am leaning more towards grifters needing content and journos with grudges.
Do we have anyone who has played the game all the way through yet? I see we have Metalhead who has 30hrs in and found one DEI hire and killed him, so that seems fine. Do we have anyone who has finished it and has a trip report cause at this point I'm thinking 90% of this outrage is manufactured.

I am fairly sure those replies were taken in such a way as to make them look bad.
Vavra is an idiot, and should have his social media taken away. But lets look at em. In game, nothing about the characters is presented as underage. However they are real people with RL info about them. We all know in the middle ages women were married off at around the first sign of puberty. Vavra's first tweet is pointing this out. First one seems like its part of a reply chain that is basically 'If you use the real dates and times everyone would be underage. Times were different then and we haven't represented them in game as children, even though using their real life data they would be." That is what his words boil down to to me.
Second one is him trying to logic trap a dude who is claiming, "If you use realism, why are there no kids in the game. Following realism isn't an excuse." And his reply is basically "You say there are no kids in the game, but then say Hans is a kid. I think you are confused."
Vavra is 100% an idiot and needs to have his social media taken away cause he thinks he is way smarter than he is and can argue online with these people and not look like an idiot.
But also, there is no link to the actual tweets, which is often a sign they are not taken in completeness.
ANyway. I am all down for Vavra being a closet gay pedo and the game being a Blackrock smuggle box of faggotry. But at this point, looking at who the attackers are I can't help but remember him calling all these people shit and making fun of them, especially his attacks on Dragon Age Veilguard. This looks more like petty revenge than real outrage. Its why I am wanting someone here who has played it to report back. (DOn't really trust all the youtube reviews on social war stuff)
Edit to add: At no point in the game does it seem to try to subvert in Han's, or anyone's age. Its not like he's trying to smuggle it in with some gotcha of "Lol. Didn't you know I am 15." None of the characters look underage, act it etc. Hell, I'd be down more with the anime weebs being pedos based off anime appearance argument than this game is promoting pedo because historically, this guy was 15.
I think the subversive faggotry, "He took Blackrock money and snuck in some gay for pay (literally from Blackrock)" to be a stronger argument. And the more reaching at straws the games media gets the more I think they are just trying to get revenge.

"The quest where you need to defend a synagogue from comically evil Christians is probably the most eye opening. Vavra deliberately created a fake Jewish city quarter and a synagogue that didnt exist in Kuttenberg at the time, where in reality Jews were living on the outskirts of the city and the first synagogue of the city appearing only 400 years later compared to when the game is set. All to live out his saviour fantasy, when in the original game he didnt include common vegetables in it because they werent yet imported into the region from America.
Vavra made a weird Facebook post last year over allegedly seeing some guy in public with an anti-semitic shirt and how angry he got. I dont know how plausible that is since in Europe public displays of anti-semitism are criminalized. Did he get triggered by some Pepe shirt? Might explain it.

Went from a 2025 purchase to a never play. Idc about it being Jewish or gay or racial or whatever, but if you're going to do a period piece don't inject morality from current year into it.
