Make sure you take some time to hit up the huge Buffet at the Wynn. It's arguably the best buffet I've ever seen, but it better be for like 30-40 per person.

I will also throw in Hash House A Go Go. The wait sucks ass but they have some of the best bloody marys you can buy as you wait.

Probably one of the best breakfasts I've ever had. My peanut butter n bacon pancake was the size of a watermelon.

If you want to go to Hash House a Go Go, and you have a car, there's 4 locations in Vegas now. The one on Sahara is about a 15 minute drive from the strip and is really only crazy busy on the weekend. Also, the one at the M which is down the 15 about 10-15 minutes from the strip shouldn't ever really be crazy busy.

I've done the MGM buffet, Bellagio buffet, and I think the Mirage. Normally I'm a huge fan of the buffets but I'm trying not to stuff myself.

Actually, I just realized that my MGM booking comes with 2 complimentary buffets.

Oh well. Thanks for all the info.

Personally I'm not a big fan of buffets. They say in Vegas that they're pretty good deals for the money but I'd rather eat at a nice sit down place than a buffet. We did the Wicked Spoon at the Cosmopolitan and it was nice and the food was pretty good (definitely higher quality than the buffets at our local casinos). But for the same price we could have had dinner at Wolfgang's restaurant. Plus at buffets I tend to overeat and regret it the rest of the day/night...

Go see Cirque Du Soleil's Ka (Also at the MGM) while you're there. That show is the fucking tits. It's like watching a live action movie on the stage. Love Ka, I've seen it twice now.

Le Reve was aweful, though. Don't waste your time. I'm a big fan of Cirque shows, and that one wasn't up to par.

Yeah, I walked by the theater and they were selling tickets. I'm still leaning toward Penn and Teller, but Ka will be next if we do well on the tables, get comped, etc.

Real quick update: 20 dollar trick worked at MGM. Got a strip view, complimentary bottle of champagne, and direct line to attendant who checked me in for anything else. Full report when I get back after winning progressive slot jackpot.

Heading down to Vegas in a couple of weeks here and it has been a long time. Planning on the usual bit of gambling and drinking (mostly sports bet on sunday football) but not sure where is decent these days.

Last stay was at Wynn and quite liked it but that was probably eight years back and definitely open to suggestions. It'll just be three or four of us old bastards and there will be decent enough betting on the sunday to be worth some comps, so somewhere willing to extend a little love to betting people is preferred.

Anyone able to recommend a good, trustworthy online ticket seller for tours and shows?

I noticed P&T are only on 2 days that I'll be there so would like to organise tickets now if I can but like to get them at a discount without getting ripped off. Have been looking at vegas.com since they also seem to do a Pawn Stars tour that I know my mum wants to do (bitch be loving that show) and they seem to be ok but would like to see if anyone else has used them. Also have heard about Tix4Tonight in vegas but seems can't really get tickets far in advance from them and not sure I want to risk not getting to see P&T at least.

I thought about getting Tix4Tonight for P&T but just ended up going to concierge at MGM for them. Same price as T4T and i didnt have to wait forever in line in the vegas heat.

What's the wifi like in Vegas? Am I only going to have access in my hotel or is there a lot of free wifi spots?

I don't remember much in the way of free WiFi spots and my hotel trying to charge me as much for a day of internet as I pay for a month of Comcast.

Then again, I don't tend to remember a lot from any of my Vegas trips...

Not sure if it has been mentioned, but if you guys want to indulge your inner nerd, go to the pinball hall of fame. Its awesome to get off the strip in the middle of the day and $20 can last you and another a better part of 4 hours. Make sure to play the vertical pinball machine. It was one of two ever made as a prototype and it is goddamn awesome. If you ladies and gents have other off strip questions like food etc... just ask.

I stayed at the Venetian back in april and it was a great hotel.
I stayed there the last two times I visited(last year and the year before) and I love it. Before that, I stayed at the Mirage, which is also pretty nice but I prefer the Venetian by a large margin. The amount of shops and restaurants all within the Venetian/Palazzo is awesome.
