Def liking the rogue. Having a real hard time deciding on a build.
Wolcen and this patch both hit at the same times.. I tried to give wolcen another shot. its so rough.. so many bugs. Such a real shame. hate to see a team try and fail so badly. Seems officially a Starbound. the team just does not have the ability to fix that game.
Last epoch here is not very pretty. But, the systems are much much better. there are some bugs still though too.
I've often noted PoE as being the only arpg that got attributes right. I keep forgetting about this. It also does not have attributes per level. They are in the passive tree as well.
Its passive tree is a bit more like a classic one. Fill up a tree, with a number of choices. new passive lines and skills are unlocked as you add total points to the tree.
The real depth in skills comes from the skill passive trees. they too have passives. And, you are limited in how many skills you can unlock the passives in. meaning, you have access to like 20 skills for a class. then can slot 6 of them in your skill bar. then, can only unlock passives in 6 skills over the course of leveling. (less as you start even)
Rogue so far seems like their best design. I haven't played them all... but what I did of the others I didnt quite see this level of interactions.
Rogue shuriken:
Starts out as a basic EK. throw 3 shuriken in a cone. (doesn't shotgun)
you can passive it, to 5. you can passive it to throw in a line, in succession, so it barrages. you can passive it so it throws out in a nova, instead. you can passive it so it spins around you, like blade vortex. you can passive it so it peirces. (makes the blade vortex very strong. 5 peircing shuriken, which circle around hitting any 1 target repeatedly.) or you can passive it, so it changes to 1 large chakram which pierces, and returns. or you can passive it so they richocet...
now, first off, most of those work WITH each other. you can blade vortex the chakram. you can richochet the chakram, etc.
Second, it interacts with OTHER skills.
evade:
is a teleport/dash. it can be passived to throw 1-5 shuriken when you teleport. Any ^ shuriken passives apply to the Evade shurikens as well. instead of 5 shuriken.. it'll throw that blade vortex chakram.
it can spawn "shadows". shadows echo a shuriken, shadowblade, or acid flask attack, when you do one. again, they echo your passived shurikens..
its a pretty interesting class.
started off, relying on flurry. not loving shuriken. using acid flask off and on.. started leaning into shuriken to get that blade storm. once I had pierce and blade shield.. was pretty solid on that.. but, then was real tempted by ballista. which was real solid right away.
chakrum was not very impressed with. But, having unlocked blade dancer. and the bladedance... now, thinking whelp... thats pretty great.
