Eh ELO hell does exist simply due to the fact that while statistics, etc. says you can escape it, it takes a bloody long time to do so. There is a reason why pros will duo queue until they at least hit high gold/platinum. We went through this discussion awhile back and that was pretty much the conclusion then.
I dunno if you just only watch certain pros, but the majority of them solo Q it up when they smurf, even starting out. Certain ones duo Q but they're usually the ones that duo Q on their mains as well.

When the fuck did I say I don't buy wards, or are you just some random cocksucker who decided to hop on the shit-talking train to try and gain popularity points?

Edit: @Mures
Yeah i've just been sticking with manamune since it's what is on the builds instead of archmage. I'm not so sure how archmage would work instead of manamune though, the extra damage on the manamune helps me more than I could see the shield helping since ryze is pretty tanky anyways.
Are you sure you're not looking at an outdated build? Every ryze build I've seen builds roa or archangel's first. If you want muramana to do real damage, because its physical damage, you need to build armor penetration which of course just doesn't make sense on ryze. You already have magic penetration because all your other damage is magic so the ability power bonus from archangel's does more damage.

Because my post said, Wizardhawk is terrible, fuck this piece of shit, right? Or I commented on a player who didn't ward, and added that to a list of shit I didn't like.

Granted I don't read here everyday, but because I don't post often out of sports, clearly that means I am no longer allowed to read the gaming thread as I have in the past. Guess I should be locked from EQNext as well, fuck my excessive warding and cocksucking ass. You need to calm down man, not only will you stop looking like an ass, but you'll probably play better not getting pissed at feeding mids and junglers.

Are you serious? I would rather have people warding inane bullshit than nothing at all.
Except you aren't taking it in context with the other posts on the subject i've made (where I already said most of my games are pretty well warded and I don't need to buy more than 1 or maybe 2). If my team is doing a good job of warding, however, then i'm not going to spend all my gold on more wards when I could use it on permanent items instead just so that I can say "see bro i bought 15 wards last game".

What? I usually build tear, boots 1, catalyst, rod, sorc shoes/glacial shroud, manamune in that order and then frozen heart or something else depending on what I need at that point.

Yeah the archangel might do more damage, i'm not sure how much the ap bonus would actually end up giving you in the end after scaling etc. but it probably is better. Not sure how it'd compare with a toggled muramana either.

Muramana was good on ryze before they changed it to physical. Now its a horrible item on him. Tear -- catalyst -- RoA --- boots --- defensive item of your choice (Frozenheart/spirit visage) --- archangels --- abyssal/Void staff is pretty much a complete build on ryze. If you feel like building a non crappy auto attack item on him then gauntlet can take the place of Frozen heart as your armor item against a team without an ad hyper carry. I still wouldn't take it in most cases however.

Now the reason you take archangel over murumana;

Murumana gives you 60 damage bonus on your auto attacks, on average 60 physical damage from the active per spell cast, drains 3% of your mana per single target spell cast or auto attack.

So we're looking at gaining some negligible physical damage which we have no penetration to back up. Realistically your autos and active procs will be in the 30-40 additional damage range against anyone with a defensive armor item or two. You also run yourself out of mana much more quickly and will require blue which is actually going against the strength of a late game Ryze. Your mana pool should be at 3k and your cdr should be close to cap just from itemization. Letting you donate blue to someone else and making them more effective.

Seraph's gives you 60 +30 ap late which all your abilities scale from, you are carrying magic penetration which synergizes with that 90 ap, and if you take the spellsword mastery (which i don't recommend on Ryze to be honest) you will also get some additional punch to your auto attack. On top of that you also get the option late game to pop a damage shield which scales up to at least 720 damage at the cost of 20 percent of your current mana.

Seems pretty simply to me from both a damage and survivability standpoint.

He commented on games you bought ZERO wards. Top and mid should be buying a ward on every return trip until you start roaming/teamfighting more, generally once the first tower in each lane is down, and the support has enough map access to ward everywhere for you. Even then, it's good to have 1 ward in your inventory in case the support misses something.

There is NO excuse for not warding the river as top, and at least one side if not enemy wraiths when you are mid in the early game. 75g is a pittance compared to the knowledge you get, that generally either saves you from dying (denying 300g+ to the enemy) or gets you a kill (giving you and anyone who assists you a bunch of gold). That mindset that it's a drain on your gold when you could be buying permanent items is EXACTLY why you are in bronze. STOP BLAMING EVERYONE ELSE, YOU SUCK AT THE GAME AND REFUSE TO GET BETTER!

That's probably me.

Even if it was him, his advice is SOLID. Your petty come back proves you belong in Bronze, if not Bronze V.

They need to come up with a special tier to accurately represent how bad Wizardhawk is. Copper maybe, or good old Stone.

Losing? heh, no. In fact, I've won 2v5 against intermediate bots. Literally, me and my duo friend did a bot game for first win bonus, trying to bust it out real quick.. and then 2 people DC, causing 3rd guy to quit thinking the game is over. The two of us then managed to win the whole game by split pushing, splitting the bots up and backing off if they got close while other person pushed another lane. If we ever caught one bot a little bit away from the others, we'd burst him and back off. It's not hard with good communication and critical thinking skills since the bots follow predetermined courses of action.
I do play a fair amount of bot games, more then most on here, because I'm generally only playing 2-3 days a week, for 3-5 hours at a time. So, I normally play one bot game, with whatever free champ(s) I'm not familiar with, to get first win of the day bonus quickly. I haven't lost a bot game in years, though.

No, I'm in bronze III and don't mind admitting that, cause I know exactly why I'm there. I went 2-3 due to DCs in two of the games to get into bronze IV. Then I moved up to Bronze III almost immediately. But, I know my mechanics suck, I play on a shitty laptop at 10-15fps. My game theory is what lets me win at all, I'm generally playing support or jungle because of it, but I haven't even been playing ranked because I rarely have enough time to shake off the rust before I have to stop playing for the day. Last week or so that has changed a little, so I'm starting to play ranked again. I think I should settle in between Silver II to Gold V once I get a good 100 ranked games in. I'll never go above that till I get a better computer, though. That's a hard ceiling with my framerate and shitty mechanics that result from low framerate.

Oh, so your game theory wins games for your team but any time I get a win i'm trash being carried by my team etc. Also funny how you jump on me for being in bronze and saying I consider myself gold when you're in the same boat as me. I must get my wins by being carried, unlike you who just pulls out brilliance to carry your team to winning.

Edit: Actually you sound a lot like me except instead of blaming trolls you are blaming your computer. I bet every time you die you instantly blame lag in chats just to let your team know you are actually much better than you're playing.

I never said when you win it's your team carrying you. In fact, I said the complete opposite. That you should be doing more in your losses to carry the shitty players if you want to get out of bronze, rather then bitching about them.

I think I'll get to silver/gold when I actually start playing ranked again, you think you'll never get there because trolls/feeders will hold you back for hundreds, if not thousands of games. There's a difference, but I don't expect you to understand it.

Before I took almost a year off from the game, I had a group of friends I'd play with most of the time. I was maybe the 2nd/3rd best out of that group of 10ish regular players. The 5 that I still see on my friends list are all gold-diamond now, and only the one diamond guy was better then me before I quit. I was always the shot caller when we had a team together. I have a better computer at home then the laptop I play on, but satellite internet at home. If I either move or buy a gaming laptop, that'll help a lot drastically with my practice. Once I get my actual mechanics to match my game theory, I'll go higher. The highest I can go currently is high silver, MAYBE low gold if I'm lucky. I know I'm not a solid gold player overall currently. At lower levels, mechanics count more then game theory, as owning the guy in your lane is the most important thing you can do, as it opens you up to doing everything else to win the game, and demoralizes the other team so they rage at each other (you seem to be on the other end of that most of the time)

Im a gold/plat player that -never- buys wards. Strategy and plans only get you so far. How you control your character is far more important to doing good.

Just to keep things real, if players DC during a bot game, a bot will randomly walk back to base and stay there for the remainder of the game. If that DC'd person comes back, that bot then starts moving again. If someone quits, a random bot will walk back to base and stay there for the remainder of the game. So.. yeah, you 2v2'd immi bots for the win, assuming that those guys that DC'd didn't just come back and AFK at the spawning pool.

We'll see if Enzie keeps his attitude when and if he hits a brick wall in Silver and can't make the promos into Gold. If his forum attitude is the same in game, he'll just buckle down, practice more and he'll get there.

Have they done that ever since intermediate was introduced? This was like over a year ago that it happened. Also, if someone 'quits' rather then actually DCs, do the bots stills AFK? I know about the DC thing, but I thought that was a newer feature and didn't apply if someone quits the game (or didn't always cause I distinctly remember being in 4v5 and 3v5 situations before). I guess it's possible they 'quit' by AFKing at base or game didn't recognize it as a DC. I tend to remember the outnumbered situation details then how it came to be.

edit: OH, and yes I will keep this attitude if I get stuck somewhere. I've watched enough pro smurf streams to know that if I'm stuck at a certain elo tier, that's where I deserve to be. If I somehow can't get out of bronze when I have the time to sit down and play consistently, then I'll know I just suck and need to improve. Good players will rise to where they should be. You might get a few unlucky promos in a row and it take awhile if you just barely deserve to be in next tier, but generally your current rank is where you deserve to be. I DESERVE to be in bronze III based on the small sample size of ranked games I've played. I think I was the victim of a bit of variance in my promo matches and should have been bronze II or I, but not anything higher then that based on my performance in the ranked games I've played, and I'm not mad that I'm there either.

Yah we've been over this one. Skill can carry stupid, just look at Doublelift. The guy literally will start heading bot to afk farm in Lcs games while the enemy team is circling baron until chauster or jiji start yelling at him. He's flat out admitted that he needs someone to tell him what to do and when, but then you put the guy in a duel or team fight situation and he is poetry in motion.

Man.. I thought that was mainly just how he played in those bronze smurf games I was watching. I normally only see him on LCS, so I don't get to hear the team chat. When he duoed with chauster, chauster would be telling him like 'vlad is coming.. vlad is coming..' then a few seconds later doublelift goes 'OMG WTF is Vlad doing here???' but manages to outplay his gank attempt and escape. Chauster- "I fucking told you 5 seconds ago!".

That's funny.. he really is that bad at map awareness, and inversely that much better at mechanics then anything else.
