I dunno. Top lane would probably be rough against the current popular tops.

As far as his E. It is slooooowwwwwwww. However his W is very easy to hit, so you just land your stuns off of it.

I've only messed around with Xerath one time and I do admit I immediately saw a jerky support with some CC and harass but he's just so uninspired. His Q is now almost exactly like Varus's Piercing Arrow except there's still a a delay after you charge it up. It felt really awkward to use. His E is the standard Morg/Lux style CC skillshot. It's probably even the exact same size and speed as Morg's binding. His ult is three uses of Kogmaw's ult but at a hilarious range. Xerath used to have unique game play and now he doesn't. I don't see how it took this long to do a rework when all his abilities are templated from existing characters.

For now I choose the sidelines until things change around. It's just disappointing to know that it is probably going to be a month until Doran's Shield gets nerfed at all and even then it probably won't do much and it'll then take another six weeks after that for something else to happen bot. I don't think it's very likely to see Leona and Thresh climb to the top of the bans with how ridiculous Elise, Lee Sin, Kha'zix, and Vi are for junglers, how many fat assholes people don't like to deal with top, and then other disliked mid laners such as Gragas, Yasuo, Kassadin and Ziggs. The last time I banned supports everyone on my team thought I was nuts.

But hey, crippling Jinx nerfs on the PBE. Because it's Jinx's fault and totally not the fault of Leona or Thresh. I look forward to seeing nerfs to Lucian and Caitlyn before Leona even gets on the radar.

I agree xerath rework is uninspiring. His game play is Jerry because everything is delayed. Everything is telegraphed. When x-rays hits his Q you see the path before it shoots. When he drops his w you see the circl first. When he does his stun it's fucking slow. Nothing is instant.

Shit when he Ulysses, before he fires anything you see his whole radius on the map so you he has locked down and is ready to fire.


He's really shit. I could of designed his kit in an hour and his damage numbers in a weekend.

I played him max CD...it didn't work out so bad, I was certainly blowing people up just like most other AP. I do think his Q needs to be a littler faster and his ult radius shouldn't be seen, or at least if you are going to leave his ult radius to be seen maybe make the aoe of the actual projectiles slightly bigger.

Wait they already nerfed her early game HP and the damage on her snare, wasn't that enough already?

That is a pretty huge nerf to her Ult if that actually goes through. Although her Ult isn't really the problem with her. It's the range / splash on her rockets to allow almost instant waveclear and great harass. Also if she ever gets a kill or assist in team fights you will not catch her.

Those changes will dumpster Jinx if they go through. She's good but not so exceptional that she deserves that level of assraping. The aforementioned Leona is far more problematic atm.. And Fizz.. Fuck Fizz, though that may just be more of a personal hate than anything. Also calling Karma #1 sleeper OP. Seen a few Wit's End AP build Karmas recently that I initially laughed at but holy shit that bitch is unkillable and does some serious damage. The Wit's End adds some speed and oomph to her autos which in turn accelerate her Mantra CDR to the point where she's dumping mantra'd tethers every 10 or so seconds for mega sustain. Throw in the shield, the speed boost, and the slow on her Q and you aren't catching her..

The problem isn't Hypnotic Specter, it's Dark Ritual! That's how I feel about the Jinx nerfs. Blame falls on Thresh and Leona, not Jinx. If they throw all that on her bot lane will turn into Lucian vs Caitlyn and then they'll have to nerf them next. Meanwhile the tanky supports are running over everything.

Ya... I always thought the only two things that needed changing with her is her passive should not trigger on assists and tone down the splash on her rockets... other than that I think she's fine...

Tired of seeing leona in every game. They somehow managed to make not worse... at least before the assist gold nerf u could take an ap carry bot... now its Leona or thresh or nada

Leona has some of the highest health regen in the game. You combine her amazing stats with the S4 masteries and a Doran's Shield and the old strategy of crippling her to keep her from going in is all but gone. She's always lethal now. You can do all kinds of fancy lane harass on either Thresh or Leona and the second you fuck up once you've lost the lane. If the enemy jungler shows up they are both able to chain multiple CC abilities with the jungler's CC to ensure a kill. There's probably seven junglers that need moderate to large nerfs.

Im insta-buying that battlecast skin.

Champ looks fun but seems very susceptible to assassins. Ill probably be playing either Vel Koz or Yasuo mid now assuming both arent banned. At least this might take some pressure off Yasuo being banned. I still prefer to play him the most. I can also see Yasuo countering Vel Koz pretty hard. His wall blocks almost everything except the knockup ability.

Has anyone seen Skarner used as a bruiser top at all? Stacking AP/AS it appears you might be able to proc a 500-800 hp shield every 5-10 seconds with some CDR + passive. I never played him, but the effective hp of the shield might be able to make up for lack of health sustain.

I've never played him previously, but people are saying he's still terrible out of the jungle early on. And the one thing that I theoretically see as a major issue is mana usage.

You could look at his kit and know he was going to be a strong champ. Knock-up, slow, true damage?
Yeah. My only problem with him is that he might be a little boring to play after the cool laser factor wears off, especially after coming out with Yasuo that allows for some really cool plays. The only cool plays you seem to be able to make is making your 90 degree slow do some billiards-style plays.

It used to work ok as a novelty pick, he had good sustain with his E and once you got his Q applied you could stick like glue to set up ganks. I actually recall HSGG playing him top in a tourney once. Without the sustain on E not sure now. He's still going to run into the same problem most mana-using champs do top: the mundo/shyv/renekton resource-less freight trains
