Which is perfectly acceptable if you don't care about ranking up. Or at least acknowledge you are handicapping yourself. I just don't like reading things like "the difference between silver one and diamond five is luck". That just smacks of low tier elo hell mentality.

As far as catering to the idiots, it gets easier as you advance in tiers. At mid diamond I almost always get one of my two prefered roles and rarely does someone troll a game to oblivion. When someone does I just ignore them because I never interact with my team beyond pings or stating roles preference anyway. I think the only thing I type anymore is "top/supp" and "gj".

Playing an old account that's silver right now is pretty amusing though. Feels like it's impossible to lose more then one or two out of every ten games.

From my perspective, you're as much of a troll as anyone else. I've had plenty of games where 4 people being positive can snap someone else out of being a jerk. Once two people are going to troll town, everyone may as well just concede.

To each their own, yadda yadda... but whenever I act "toxic" to any degree whatsoever I'm always really embarrassed by it afterwards. Raging in an online video game doesn't mesh with my conception of "being a good man." Interestingly enough, once I really damped down on this behavior I found it far, far easier to rank upin a team-based game in which I'll routinely have to cooperate with jerks.

Color me surprised.

Cry me a river. I'm as team oriented as anyone I just don't put up with the weeping vaginas that make up 5% of the population. If you do just to win a few more games then I think it says something about you. I play to have fun, and working around these mental midgets is no longer fun for me. So now I amuse myself at their expense. It's not like I care about climbing this early in the season, and anything that makes their time acting like a shithead less enjoyable is worthwhile in my book.

When have I ever posted about being stuck in elo hell? Literally my only complaint about ranking this season was me trying to get demoted. I post about dumb shit that happens in solo queue, which is part and parcel to my entire attitude about it. I enjoy it in a masochistic sort of way but it's not something I am seriously trying to accomplish anything with. The idea that I have to babysit some 14 year old fucktard and talk him into acting like a human being to gain some LP is not something I'm down with at this point in my life. But you just keep doing it if it makes you feel better.

I'm a jungler dude, you don't get it. I give my first blue buff away, I ward all the time, I time shit. I ping as much as any human being you will meet. What I don't do is coddle every prick I run into in the hopes it will win me 1.5% more games. I don't even get mad anymore, I just don't give a fuck. When you reach that point you just choose the option that is the most amusing, which summarizes my entire solo queue philosophy in a nutshell. Whole team doesn't pick point and click cc for a yi/kat on the other team? I won't either, and we'll try to win guerrilla style with our teemo top and karma support. Like so:


Two seasons ago I would have suggested to my team picking a composition with no hard cc for Yi or Katarina might be a problem. Now I just tell them how dumb it is, advise them I'll jump on the stupid train with them, and we get a glorious game like that, probably the most fun game I've played all season. Instead of being annoyed by how retarded our team composition was, I had fun and we did all sorts of goddamn ridiculous stuff and managed to win. Why? Because I don't care. I'll still point out how fucking stupid it is, but the outcome of the game literally could not matter any less. If we lose, whatever. I'm sure at some point in the season I'll give a shit and actually try. Maybe. But for now that's not on the agenda.

And muting people has no impact, at least for me. I don't care if people talk shit as long as they don't feed, their words don't impact me in any way shape or form. If they want to cry on the fountain about something I want to see their words so I can revel in their misery as I make it perfectly clear if they want to afk and get reported that's A-okay with me. Even if it doesn't have a statistical impact on the solo queue environment as a whole if I can get one of these cunts banned it's worth x amount of losses each season.

If you guys are super focused on ranking up, feel free to care enough to adapt your behavior in an attempt to make those fucktards happy. For me I just want them to be as miserable as possible when they ruin other people's games, so that's my priority.

I get plenty of + teamworks at the end of games, my friend list is full of people who have asked me to add them, and if I don't get one of the shitlords on my team I am as pleasant as anyone else you will meet. But if me giving the shitheads the opposite of what they want makes me toxic then I am 100% toxic. Where do I buy the fucking T-shirt?

Only League has managed to brainwash its playerbase into believing that you can play in as shitty a manner as possible as long as you don't type anything mean to someone, no matter how much they deserve it. That sort of shit doesn't apply to ANY other competitive game, in sports or e-sports, and it's a fucking ludicrous way to look at any competitive environment. I played sports my whole life until the end of high school and I just don't work that way. If you think I'm a bad teammate and the Warmogs rushing Soraka who doesn't buy a sightstone or upgrade her trinket through a 38 minute game isn't then I don't have anything to say to you(I can show you that game log as well if you want). Nobody is saying those players are okay. We are saying that you are just as bad as them. A team's morale can recover from a warmogs wearing no warding soroka. However it has a much lesser chance of happening if your flinging nonsense in team chat. It distracts the serious players on your team even more and might draw them in to the dick swinging. Honestly your response to trolls is immature and you do bitch about elo hell fairly often. You have a number of posts complaining about this game or that team.

Now if you don't care about ranking up then it is no big deal. However it sounds like getting in a game with you would be one of the times I have to hit the plus elo button.

Ranked isn't solely for entertainment. You should have fun playing it, but if you are doing anything to actively hinder your team then you should stick to playing normals of some variety. There you can have all the shit talking fun you want.
