I would agree with you if huni and reignover came from different teams, but I think the foundation of building around the former teammates will be enough to make them top 4. (Especially with liquid losing quas)

But if they struggle early I could see it all falling apart from egos and lofty expectations. The group does not seem to be the most mature bunch.

I assumed RO would be thr shotcaller. Don't think it will be pobelter. Iirc, huhi replaced him because of pob's lack of game sense, despite having better mechanics. Might be Adrian, but again - if they struggle early, the shotcaller being the one with the worst pedigree wont help matters at all.

The team im not sold on is Energy. And if TSM doesn't get yellowstar/someone to shotcall, they are going to have some growing pains that could blow the team up by the end of the spit.

edit: obviously TSM would announce yellowstar today.... tsm is going to crush.

They already had a world class support. You're telling me the difference between a good tsm and a bad tsm is yellowstar calling shots with a double lift 2 years past his prime? Come on.

Yes, the difference between a great tsm and team that wins early, sputters around and turns games into 50/50's is having a shotcaller. (See Hai for C9)

Yes. Bjergsen could not handle shotcalling and carrying from Mid. Lustboy struggles with English, and didn't seem to really have a 'voice' on the team.

They also have an aggressive jungler, which they haven't had in...just about ever. And Hauntzer is one of the most versatile top laners, and can pick to complement the team more than Dyrus could.

C9 is a great example of how different a team can be with good shot calling. Hai leaves and they suck. Hai comes back, and they wreck. Kasing is good, but they hadn't had time to gel yet for IEM, and I think Yellowstar is definitely much better. Lustboy is good mechanically, but as was said, he struggles with English still. But, if you had this team around him, I think TSM would have been better then as well. I love Dyrus and all, but he never did well on the World level. Always seemed over-matched. Hauntzer isn't an allstar, but he's flexible and solid, I've rarely seen him get wrecked the way Dyrus did against the elite players. He seems to hold his own at least, which is all they need so they lean on Bjerg and Liftstar to carry them.

I disagree that Doublelift is past his prime. He is still the best AD, mechnically, in NA, and good enough to hang with the World's best still. The flipside to his ridiculous ego is that he will practice until his brags are true again. He was still carrying CLG to their 1st place finish last split. Still, I think he's only got another year left in him before he just won't be able to keep up with the top guys in the world.

On paper, TSM has three of the top 10, top 5 even, players at their positions worldwide. The other two are within the top 15 as well, so if they can work together as a team, they should be very competitive. I mean, Origen and Fnatic's rosters did not look super stacked until they started to gel together as a team, and that made each of them look better as a result. If TSM can get a similar result, they should be able to compete on the World stage finally. That is a big 'IF' though.\

edit: and by compete, I mean make it out of the group stage. I still wouldn't say they have to chance to beat someone like SKT in a best of 5. But, I could see them upsetting a team like KOO or Origen with some luck.

He just beat Rekkles 1v1 in a Lucian mirror match. He must not be that shabby.

C9 didn't "wreck" with Hai. They went from bad to o.k. which is good enough to go neck-and-neck with the other o.k. teams in NA in a best of 3. They brought a gimmick to world's that was good enough to catch 2 decent teams and 1 good one off guard, and then they were promptly dumpstered and booted from the tournament.

TSM will go from bad to o.k. That's as good as you can hope for.

Going from being in relegation matches in the NA LCS, the weakest group worldwide, to starting out 3-0 against the worlds best, is 'wrecking' in comparison. Even if it was a gimmick, that's part of what shot calling IS. The other team's regrouped, talked it over with their coaches/analysts/whatever and countered them. That's fine. It still illustrates the difference good shot calling can make.

So now C9 didn't "wreck", they "wrecked by comparison", whatever the fuck that means. You'll totally redefine the argument when your previous claim gets blown up? That's a thing you do?

TSM shuffles their roster every year, and every year it's the same thing. It ultimately makes their inevitable ass raping at world's that much more enjoyable, I just don't understand how the fanboys fall into the same trap every year.

You still think Lustboy is a world class support? Did you stop watching the LCS?
And yes, this is offseason just like every other roster shuffle TSM has done.

Just got back to Plat for the 4th time this Season, lol... can't duo with Silvers now. Still willing to duo with Gold-Diamonds.

I fell as far as 0 LP in Gold 1 but went 15-5 my last 20, mostly with Diana (12 of the 15 wins with her).

Went 3-1 in Promos. Should have been 3-0 but ADC d/c in the 3rd game, which we were winning at the time.

The final game was interesting though. The enemy team lane swapped to put me vs Riven as opposed to Xerath. I hate going against Riven but managed a couple outplays. Even still, it didn't matter because my bot lane was destroying and we won the game like 44 kills to 18.

But because I was impressed with myself, here's a clip of my 1v1s against Riven at levels 6-7ish:

In both 1v1s, Riven is the aggressor, as is usual with Riven players... aggressiveness must be punished!

First kill he misplayed pretty hard, used Ult very late, I dashed past him easy enough to avoid it.

Second kill he just didn't have the damage, kinda lucky for me, 1 more auto from Riven and I was dead. I tried to avoid his Ult with dash but I was too late and took a chunk. If I used my ult a second earlier I woulda lived with like 400 hp.

Wow, you are way too angry there my man. I was clarifying my point, not redefining the argument. (edit: actually.. what argument exactly? That I used hyperbole in my statement? Are you the guy that rags on his friends when they say something like 'man, this burger is awesome!' 'oh really? Does it invoke all encompassing awe?')

I made a quick comment that you read too much into. Based on your comments, anyone not in the top 4 of Worlds is trash and therefore can not 'wreck'. You just took my usage of the word to mean something more then it was. Beating the teams that they beat, considering where they were before, when Hai had left, was impressive. They wrecked and then GOT wrecked after, is that better?

C9's turn around with Hai was impressive no matter how you slice it.

Sure, they didn't suddenly become the best team in the world - but they went from bottom of NA, to battling their way through the entire gauntlet and earning their way to Worlds. Hell, they even had a somewhat decent showing at Worlds, considering the circumstances.

Well, you called Fnatic, AHQ and Invictus 'two decent and one good' teams when they are literally the best teams from their regions, and Fnatic was top 4 at worlds. So, are the only teams that are better then 'good' just SKT and KOO?

Really wish there was a super high res version of LOL. I was getting like 400 FPS on my new rig, makes it feel like a waste when I spend half my gaming time playing this toaster friendly stuff.

On an actual gameplay note, I kind of want to master Illaoi. Every one I've faced so far has done literally nothing, but it looks like a neat champ.
