Actually you're wrong but ok. The system is virtually identical to how it worked in S2, only this time there is leagues.
Think im wrong all you want, but tons of people have normalized their rating around 200-300 above their previous season on lolking. Their rating is a guess, and its a guess that makes people feel good. I would love to pat myself on the back and say woo im instantly 450 elo better than i was last season, but its best to take lolking with a heap of salt.

As much as I don't care for Dyrus, he's been playing extremely well (I'll even say Carrying TSM for the most part) in many of their games. I think he should definitely take the spot over Voyboy.

Top: Dyrus - Carrying TSM hard.
Jungle: SaintV - Best Jungler in NA, no question. Plus he's a great shot caller.
Mid: Regi - Regi's aggressive playstyle would work wonders with Saint.
ADC: Dlift - best NA ADC.
Support: Patoy - He's a monster at support. His Janna, Lulu & Alistar are all top notch.
As much as I dislike Dyrus(I'll admit it's mainly a voice/monotone issue) I'll agree, that despite watching LCS from what I've heard and rarely seen; he has easily carried TSM and has been the, by far, most consistent player.

Totally random, but TheOddOne lives up to his name, that guy is... totally fucking weird. I don't understand how he keeps getting gf's, and while I'm sure it's an insensitive question, is he... retarded or physically handicapped?

I agree. I love Dyrus' playing but man, every time he gets in front of a camera or microphone he just annoys the shit out of me.

He's a League of Legends Pro who probably makes bank from streaming. If that isn't a panty dropper I don't know what is.

He's got a quirky sense of humor, but most people think he's hilarious. Also, he's not retarded, it's his very slight asian accent from living with asian parents mixed with a heavier canadian accent that is throwing you off. It threw me off for a bit as well, cause he just seems to talk slightly off, but I eventually figured it out.

He gets GFs because they are all involved/interested in the LoL scene. His current blonde one he's been with for awhile, and she met him through the game and/or a tournament event, can't remember which, and in this world he's a rich celebrity. He's the center of attention, relatively wealthy for his age and full of confidence when he's around other people (in the LoL scene anyways). Anytime a guy meets those criteria, he's probably getting tons of girls.

Oddone is the most chill and laidback of any of them and one of the older ones. I remember some of them couldn't even drink. I personally find his analogies fucking hilarious sometimes. Also, xpecial is a whiny bitch, it's no wonder that chic dumped him.

http://na.lolesports.com/allstar: Voting page is up for the allstar NA team. So far Dyrus is in the lead top, Saint Jungle, Scarra mid, DLift ADC and Xpecial as support. Apparently you're allowed to vote once a day in each category til the 15th of April.

Edit: 15th not 16th

Would certainly like to see Doublelift on a team with actual other real threats, just to see how it goes. Can't just use the kill doublelift strat and win the game.

So on NA, it seems to be a given that Scarra will win and most likely Dlift will win. Scarra is at 50% and the next closest is at 20%. Dlift is up by about 20% as well.

Oddone & Saint are within 2% right now. Voyboy and Dyrus within 4%. Xspecial up by about 10% as well.

Is it bad that for the EU allstar team I voted for 4 Gambit guys? Lol, wonder how that'd work out if a whole team ended up winning, they'd probably do extremely well since they already play together.

Can someone explain to me the difference between Top Lane and Bottom Lane? The map appears to be mirrored, is it just that blue buff is closer to one and red buff the other?

The biggest difference is the dragon and baron placement. As far how it affects the current meta I assume ADC/support go bottom because it's closer to the dragon for an easier early game kill.

It is purely for dragon control. Having 2 players at the bottom helps control it better than if only 1 was.

The map isn't purely mirrored, it's also flipped. So for bot lane, being on Blue side means you have a tribush that gankers could run through to access behind you if you are pushed up enough. It also means you have easy access to golems & red buff in the jungle that you could farm whereas purple side is a little safer due to no tribush access but they aren't close to any key jungle monsters (other than blue buff) which could put them behind if the other adc farms the golems religiously or takes red buff.

Same is said about top lane. Now purple can get the golems and red easily but needs to be wary of the tribush gank. Blue side top has easier access to blue buff. It is actually feasible that a top lane could be an AP character so if you are blue team you could certainly go AP top and let them take blue if your mid lane isn't blue reliant. Purple side doesn't have this option.

You will see lane swaps in the LCS where the "bot lane" goes top, this is purely a strat to push down turrets in <5 minutes. It's to deal with unfavorable matchups or to end laning phase quickly if your team comp is better as a group.

TL;DR: Bot lane has adc+support purely for dragon control. Lanes aren't mirrored, there are differences to each side.

I remember some crazians (and a few americans) going with blue buff Olaf bot in a 2v1.
The biggest difference is dragon control, that's why you want 2 bot, for dragon control.

The reasoning behind Purple lane switching is "we can outpush their solo, and kill a turret before the dragon is contested."
Blue rarely lane switch for the same reason, in the end it's all about mindgames and "we can outfuck their solo lane".

I bet it'll be something like this, in order of likelihood imo:
Top: Dyrus/Voyboy
Jungle: Oddone/StVicious
Mid: Scarra/Regi/Nyjacky
AD: Doublelift
Support: Aphromoo/Xspecial
Unfortunately, looks I was right and it's more a popularity contest then anything. The only lanes still close enough for something to change is top/jungle, and it's still just between dyrus/voyboy and oddone/stvicious, no one else has a chance.
Mid is Scarra, bot is doubelift/xspecial (very small chance of an aphromoo comeback, but he needs to get like 10% more of the vote which seems unlikely unless he starts streaming and campaigning for votes).

You sound disappointed? There's probably a reason why they are leading the votes.... Based on skill level these players have proven to be the most consistent and best in their role.

Only ones I wish were closer was AP mid, Scarra is winning by a landslide, I would like to see Regi close the gap, I tend to think Regi is a better player. The current results could be partially because Scarra dominated Regi last weekend. Maybe results from this weekend will help out Regi (if he performs better).

Also with ADC doublelift is winning by a landslide, I'd like to see Cop close the gap. Doublelift is probably the "best" but Cop's KDA is way above anyone else... not sure if KDA is necessarily the best unit of measure, though, kinda have to look at the team they are on too, Doublelift's KDA could improve under a different team or team strategy.

There is a reason these guys are popular.

I'm disappointed that some of the better players on shitty teams don't have a chance, because their bad team makes them look worse as players. I don't think Cop is a top 2 ADC right now in NA, mechanically or strategically. He's just on a team that plays very well together and he knows how to fit into that. If you switched him onto Dignitas, CLG, GGU or even TSM they would probably do worse then they have been. If you switched Doublelift, imaqtpie, dontmashme or potentially wildturtle (still early to tell), onto one of the other 4 teams, they would likely be improved. Elementz is the shot caller in the bottom lane, and the one calling out plays/strategy. You take him away from Cop, cop would do worse.

I don't have a real problem with either Dyrus/Voyboy or StVicious/Oddone, though I think the Curse players have an edge on both, winning due to popularity. They are all great players that are above any other competitors in the NA scene right now anyways. But, Mid and ADC/Support there's a much closer skill gap between the top and bottom teams.

On a different note, anyone know what happened with MuffinQT and vulcan? Bloodwater just jumped ship from GGU to Vulcan, but surprised muffin has left. He was sort of the 2nd in command on that team when Aphro was there.

Well, I don't know the whole story, but Muffinqt was kicked, he didn't leave on his own. As for the current people in the lead - I'm fine with either Dyrus or Voyboy.. I think both are strong top laners. The only thing that bothers me so far with all the votes is that Patoy isn't close to Xpecial for supports, and that's a shame because of how well he's played. Hell, Aphromoo is above Patoy .. and that's a joke. Aphro hasn't even played well so far in the LCS, but he's second.. definitely a bit of a popularity contest, but that's to be expected. I do wish there were other votes besides just fans, like media or pro players themselves participating as well in their own tally.

Also, Lissandra, the Ice Witch was revealed today:http://na.leagueoflegends.com/news/l...witch-revealedInstantly made me think of a frost mage from wow a bit, but I guess that's hard to avoid. Interesting to see how her ult pans out, free Zhonya's ftw?
