I just cannot get a promotion series without fucking idiots and trolls. Instalock AP shaco feeds hard. Next game playing Riven, go 6-0 top getting 2 doubles on ganks. Bot/Mid feed and vayne/akali walk into team fights huge. Worst part is recently(for some reason) I have been with people gold4-2 and they think they are gods gift to the earth since they are gold.

Edit: Is there a way to carry these games without being the "mid or feed" tool?

Even if you go mid and "carry" you're still not guaranteed to win. The best success right now I have is convincing my team to just take as many towers as they can early and if I'm mid I try to make sure it doesn't go down since it provides so much map control. Even then, that didn't stop me from going on a six game losing streak right after being promoted to Silver IV and getting dumped back into Silver V. The drop in quality of players when I went from Silver V to Silver IV was quite stunning, actually. That or I experienced a statistical anomaly.

First realize that you can't possibly win every game, its impossible. LoL is just as much about luck as skill.

Next realize that streaks do happen.

Some losses are likely your fault, figure out what you could have done better, what calls you could have made to help the team succeed. Minimize the losses that YOU cause. If you can consistently play good, win lane, jungle good, don't feed, don't make bad calls, you will find yourself winning more than you lose, but there will still be games that you lose just because of bad luck with teammates. Sometimes you will have extended streaks of bad luck. There is absolutely nothing you could do sometimes. When I have a losing streak I look back at MY stats for those games and try to see what went wrong. I can usually point out a couple cases where making a different call, playing a different champ or something would have won my team the game. I'm striving to eliminate these mistakes and when I get a "bad luck" game, I just push it behind me and try to win the next one.

Any lane can carry, "mid or feed" is a bad tactic imo.

Keep in mind the matchmaker measures your ability to communicate and herd cats as much as anything. Providing information, pinging, making calls, somehow convincing your team to work together are all MUCH larger factors in your solo/duo ELO than how well you carry your lane.

Something to consider: it is one thing to snowball within lane, stack up advantage after advantage, etc etc... but to win the game you must successfully convert your own personal advantage to a team advantage. I ONLY play ADC these days and usually just fuck around in normals. Most of the time, optimal for ME is to leave my opponents tower up and farm him repeatedly -- this is acceptable if my team is doing well but if they aren't I need to push fast so I can roam. For top/mid its even more complex.

I fucking hate Nid. Hi let me build deathcap and throw spears that chunk half your life in one hit. It's so gay-- I can't think of any other skillshot that can be spammed so frequently for so much damage. I know people say learn2dodge but man she can spam them and the hitbox seems to be huge. If you are squishie walking around with half life you're pretty much instagib material. If you are turtling or your team hesitates too long to engage, you will end up eating spears.
I feel like Nid is a lot like Blitz. When you are the one playing, if you do not hit every skillshot, you suck! If you are playing against, and you do not dodge every skillshot, you suck! Well, which one is it?

It's your crushing top lane, go tower dive mid a couple times to either get the kill or at least force mid back to give your mid some help. My favorites are either a Malphite or a Singed coming from behind the enemy mid tower. Really makes the enemy mid shit their pants lol.

I used to main warwick toplane a lot in S2 and did just this, would roam mid all the time through our jungle, enemy jungle, river, and just show up and ult them, almost always resulted in a kill or a burned summoner at least. Helped win mid lane very often

Plus, people play better when they are ahead. They start getting more aggressive in taking objectives and initiating on the enemy team. When they lose a teamfight or get stomped by a certain champ, they get passive overall and no longer engage on optimal situations.

It always frustrates me when we're just a little behind, I'm playing support and have some good ward coverage that catches one or two of the enemy team away from the rest of their team. We'll have 4-5 of us nearby, but if I start going in thinking we're gonna try to gank the champs my ward caught, everyone else sits there with their thumb up their butt. It's like, they think we're so far behind even one of the enemy champs can win a 4v1 or something.. Ironically, by not taking advantage of those situations and waiting to get engaged on, the enemy team gets so fed that they DO start winning 4v2s and shit.

Ideally, you win lane in such a way that it lets you try to roam to help another lane as well. If someone gets ahead, they are more likely to stay ahead and help carry as well. Most people at lower levels have no idea how to play when they are behind.

So true in solo queue. Enemy team gets firstblood? Or perhaps is ahead 2-3 kills? Instantly start to turtle up. It's why I lately just play junglers that can initiate well and be tanky enough for my team to go through the process of hesitation and then finally follow up, meanwhile i've been tanking this entire time.

Nyjacky gave up first blood in the opening invade. Saint, Cop & Elements tried to 3v2 Xspecial and Wildturtle, but it backfired and they got 3 for 1 (iirc). Finally, Elementz really fucked sucked that whole game, all his sona ults were terrible except 1.

almost as bad as bloodwater in V vs coL i don't think anyone on his team ever finished runic bulwark and I'm impressed by his determination to rush boots of mobility and shurelya's so he can get flash instagibbed even more effectively.

I just had a Kennen blame me for WW's passive revealing him on the map. WW was the jungler, I was top, Kennen was on his tower... in mid. :|

I cannot wait till I get into gold.

So as I thought, Riot is tweaking Karma already and giving her some buffs. Currently on the PBE:


Karma

Focused Resolve ( W ) mana cost lowered to 70/75/80/85/90 from 70/80/90/100/110.
Inspire ( E ) movement speed increased to 1.5 from 1.25
Defiance ( Mantra E ) haste increased to 60% at all ranks from 20/30/40/50/60%.
Gathering Fire ( Passive ) now reduces Mantra cooldown by a flat 2 ( down from 1/1.5/2 ) each time Karma damage an enemy champion and flat 1 ( down from .5, .75, 1 ) seconds on basic attack.
