I don't think I've played a single Summoners Rift since ARAM came out. A lot of fun.

It's painful playing without pre-mades though. Nonstop idiots who go 1v5 nonstop because it's "fun". I don't know, I'm sure I'll get flak for that opinion here too, but to me the best part about ARAM is getting a bad matchup, but outplaying the enemy and winning. I suppose I am a bit of a tryhard, I just don't see why people think purposefully losing is so fun.

I honestly wish they added a Ranked ARAM. They don't even have to do anything special for it - the words Ranked alone will scare off 95% of the shitty casual crowd.

I've always thought ABAMs (all blind, all mid) could be ranked, or alternatively, good practice for teamfighting mechanics if you had an inhouse 5v5 scrim matchup.

I've never been a big fan of ARAM.

I really like the structure and gameplay of 5v5 Summoner's Rift and to me ARAM is just cutting the meat of the game out. It's still something fun to do occasionally but not something I would play seriously. I am all for more ranked game modes, though, and I hope that they will actually push out ranked dominion for those who enjoy it once they get map-specific balancing underway. I doubt we will see a ranked ARAM, but I could be wrong.

Too this point...I really don't care about ARAM as I honestly really don't care if I lose but I usually queue with friends and do stupid shit or odd builds. Would be kind of like playing dominion...just want to go fuck around and have fun, however, you are talking to someone who has a similar stance for normals as well. I want to win when I play normals, but I also kind of don't care either as the game is irrelevent. Ranked on the other hand pisses me off lol.

I wish @ 50 or 100 ranked wins you had an option to reseed yourself with another 10 games like the initial phase. I don't think I'm that much better than my rank, but I've had to crawl out of bronze Hades for so long that I really would relish the chance to slide into the silver world.

As a silver who used to queue with a bronze, then did the solo climb to gold, now sitting in gold, the quality of the players doesNOTincrease. You still have feeders, idiots, oblivious coma patients, trolls, 12 year olds, and monkeys who fuck coconuts as a day job. The major difference between the tiers is people generally are nicer.

I don't quite agree with the above statement, but general awareness and player skill still varies majorly and there are still boohoo babies at every tier.

Have to disagree here a bit as well, everyone has different teammates/opponents according to MMR and whatnot - but playing a bronze 3 account -> silver 3 theres a ton of plain differences. No longer have ADC Garen with TP/Heal bot lanes, hooray. You actually get smiteless leashes and supports that will make a sightstone. Silver -> Gold is a bit less noticeable but for me you see less people feeding when they're behind, and a *bit* more wards/map awareness. And then high gold/plat there is a lot of warding, decent amount of counter warding and objective focus in a lot of the games. Obviously this isn't every game but i've observed a skill increase on my account and my friends moving up. Until you hit diamond there will probably be a larger number of feeders/trolls and whatnot, even in there i'm positive there is some but down in bronze it can be just about every other game at times.

True, I should have said that they amount of idiots is less, they however still do exist at the higher levels(from what I have seen).

We've had the discussion of how nasty a support Nautilus is. I'm about to pick him up but already have Thresh..

I was also thinking of adding Shaco to my jungle lineup but it is unanimously agreed he is entirely dependant on his early game.

Decisions... decisions..

The only reason I'm adding heros to my lineup is for counter picking right now which is my biggest area for improvement before taking the hard plunge into solo queue ranked again.

I can not see how anyone would just go back to SR after doing Dominion or ARAM.
I religiously watch & enjoy every single LOL Stream out there (LCS or Crazians) but i don't think i'll even play SR again.
I admire the skills & mentality needed to play on SR at a competitive level, but play it myself ? Hell no !

It's just too slow, too boring, too feeder friendly... In dominion (even more in ARAM) you CAN make a difference...
In SR ? well after a 0/5 Bot Lane, you're toast unless a miracle happens, not to mention the influx of gold & lack of space make make champs viable again.

Is he really being picked often? The youtube video of my game that I posted a few days ago was the only time I've seen him in ranked play and he really had nothing for me as Sona.

Support Nautilus is in the same vein as support Nidalee - it doesn't happen often because he's a slightly weaker version of Thresh who is susceptible to ranged harass but has a guaranteed CC combo once he hits 6.

Just hit 30 on my main account and now going through the first ten ranked games. I've decided to try and main Xin jungle with a Taric support as back up.

My question is: I have a hard time actually jungling. I mean, killing jungle monsters. Most of the time I'm running all over the map trying to counter gank / even up team fights / help people that are screwing up or doing something dangerous. I'm often a level or two behind the enemy team by mid game. My team fighting is pretty solid so I often catch up and contribute there, but how do I improve? Am I supposed to say "fuck that guy, come here wolves"? Even when the jungle monsters are on my way, I still get bitched at for stopping at any point and not helping them RIGHT NAOW!!1

It's also causing a problem for me when trying to control map objectives like dragon. I've got the buffs on my side under control, and after the first clear I give blue to mid and when mid-game comes around I give red to adc. But, for example, I didn't kill a dragon until 40+ minutes into my last game. That's suuuuper bad. I'm not sure how to fix it. I'm being pulled in all directions at once.

After your first successful gank on mid or bot is when you dragon usually.

EDIT: Within reasonable time and depending on team comp. Obviously if your first gank is 1 minute in then no. I think 15 minutes is the norm

I suggest watching a high elo jungler(xj9, dan dinh, saintvicious, all come to mind as streamers who jungle) and seeing how they divide their time. It's mostly a game sense skill that you won't get until you play yourself/absorb it through osmosis - you need to know where you will actually be useful and where you will just be wasting your time.

Expect to get 2v1'd top lane if your top is losing. Sounds like you need to spend more time killing camps and not ganking as much.
